I feel like this is the main part where so many new guys, especially those that come to the red pill, lose. Honestly, I get it, a lot of sex shaming has been going on in the comments and a lot of comments that claim getting laid is overrated and life should have a deeper meaning than that get upvoted a lot. Do I disagree with those comments? No, I agree but the truth is, for guys that want to have success in the game but aren't having any success, those comments are not helpful at all.

Don't get me wrong, if you've had success in the game pursue the higher purpose but if you're new and haven't have any success in the game, stop lying to yourself. You're not some bold "MGTOW" who had a ton of sex and decided that its overrated, you're just a sexless loser who is coping and believe me, there is a big difference between the two.

What happens is new guys come on here, get told not to "put the pussy on the pedestal", more or less get shamed for wanting to better their sex life, get told that higher order and a higher purpose exists than having sex with women, and now feel like there is something wrong with them for wanting to have success with women. Maybe these guys had like 4 or 5 bad interactions with women, quit, and are now a newly formed man who could care less about women. Perhaps their egos are too big to handle rejection so now women and society are at fault, these guys will just pursue a "higher purpose" unlike some Chads or HBBs who are wasting their lives away drinking and partying.

Confident and real men do not lie to themselves, if you do, you're going to be a miserable mess.

Unfortunately, a lot of new guys get trained into lying to themselves. While they originally came to the sub with intentions of wanting to do better in the game (and still do), they have completely misunderstood the phrase "don't put pussy on the pedestal". The same guys will go into "monk mode" for a long time, grow bitter towards women, and lie to themselves about how there is a higher purpose in life.

Deep down inside, these same guys wish they were spending Friday night with a cute girl but because of this miserable cycle they've put themselves in, they're not. As the cycle goes on for a long time, these guys end up being more and more miserable to where depression and a lot of negative mindsets set in. What is worse is that these guys will actually give advice and try to tell other newbies to stay away from women and game because there is some "higher purpose".

The other reason it is important to be honest with yourself is because doing well in the game is actually somewhat complicated, it goes beyond just looks and changing your mindset.

So you've made gains from lifting and are now more "red pilled", great, you've made a first step towards it but you've just started. The truth is that in order to truly do well in the game, it is going to require a good bit of planning, toughness, and especially luck. If you want to be that guy who gets hot girls and is enjoying Saturday night with that HB9, you've got a long way to go.

When you lie to yourself after lifting and having made some improvements, decide that now you're going to pursue a "higher purpose" (even though deep down inside, you don't really feel that way), and broadcast it to others on here; what happens is your rob yourself of the other steps.

Things like logistics, what city you live in, what kind of venues you're going to, culture and vibe of your city, and how conductive your lifestyle is to getting laid matter. All of that stuff matters alongside your looks and mindset. Now that is part of the reason why very few guys actually manage to have a lot of success in the game.

You tell yourself you don't care while deep down inside, you do, but are way too embarrassed to admit it. By doing that, you're not being honest with the one person that matters the most, YOU! You're lying to yourself in order to protect your ego and as a result, not taking the steps needed to build the lifestyle that is conductive to doing well in the game.

The truth is, after lifting and changing some parts of your mindset, there is still a long way to go. When you lie to yourself, you stop at that step and the years fly by. Now you can't handle the other parts of the game that matter such as your location, logistics, lifestyle, and other things that can make a world of a difference in your success with women.

From now on, if you're really serious about doing well in the game, stop lying to yourself about it. If you're serious about wanting to do well, tell yourself that, and make that your mindset. You're not putting pussy on the pedestal, you're trying to acknowledge that you want to have success with women. Once you do that, you go forth on the long journey to building a lifestyle that might get you a lot of success in the game.
