She left me! While doing so she said "I'm a light in this world", "Loves me, but isn't in love with me", and "Felt trapped".

She's decided to keep the child and name it Christian if it's a boy, because being a Christian is what led her to keep the child.

Her plan is to quit her job (teacher decent pay) and go back to school to get a degree in psychology (she already has a master's in education). While in school she plans to apply for government assistance. Before she left I offered to take on a second job and support her for at least a year while she stayed home with the baby, she complained that our place NEEDED to have hardwood floors, high ceilings, and nice ambiance. Now her plan is to live alone in government housing.

The girl is absolutely off her rocker. She told me that I could take off and not be a part of the child's life, "A get out of jail free card". I've decided to not take that card as I fear she may not be capable of raising a child.

Anyway, I'm not coming here for sympathy, I don't deserve it. Played with fire, got burnt. I just wanted to share my story. Wish me luck :)

*** Update 1:

I'd like to thank everyone for their kind words. I plan to update this every so often for as long as people are interested. A key piece of information I left out of my original post is that I am not a beta provider, which is likely the reason for her leaving me. A couple years ago I left the workforce and decided to work for myself. I run a small business, it's profitable, but I only make around $22,000 a year (I could easily make that number appear to be less, not something I would do.). She makes about twice what I make as a tenured middle school teacher (she also takes the summers off to travel, if she worked in the summer she would make over twice what I make).

I live a very MGTOW lifestyle as least in terms of finances (obviously not in terms of my relationships to women, although I may no choice in that matter now). She really can't get that much from even in the best case scenario and she knows that. I'm not terribly worried about the financial implications, I'm crafty and can swing whatever potential judgement a court would award her. My main concern is for the unborn child. It's mother's first act was to leave it's father a person she herself called "A light in this world, a person she is glad to have met, a person she loves, but isn't in love with". Clearly the best interest of the child is of no real concern to her.

Anyway, when more has unfolded in a few weeks or so I'll hit you all up with another update. If this post can prevent even one young man from making the same mistake I did (believing a woman who said she loved me) then perhaps it all happened for a reason.

*** Update 2

Abortion.
