I did not post the original thread, but it seems relevant here. I'll post the same comment I left over there. My real thoughts are a little stronger though, replace "fencesitter men" in the first sentence with "all men".

This is why I tell even fencesitter men to at least consider getting a vasectomy, even if this is preceded by freezing sperm. Any man that is not certain that he wants to be a father should think about it and weigh the risks of accidental pregnancy (single point of failure) vs being unable to conceive biological children (multiple points of failure). Even if all that fails and bio children aren't in the cards, it doesn't shut the door to adoption.

I was celibate through most of my teens and 20s, but it still sickens me to look back and think about how many times I rolled the dice and that it could have ruined everything for me. I am deeply repentant for this. Every morning when I wake up, and every evening before I lie down to rest, I give thanks for what I have and for avoiding life-destroying events. I am a firm believer that "no news is good news," that surprises and non-routine occurrences seldom improve one's life but can very easily wreck it.

At that point, I would probably do something drastic out of pure spite. And what I'm talking about here is a one-way ticket to <insert destination of choice> and completely dropping off the radar. I would, for all practical purposes, cease to exist. It would seriously uproot my life, but if I was already giving up my dreams I might as well make sure that the person who decided to fuck my life over isn't getting any benefit for their part. I hate seeing shitty behavior rewarded.

Cojocar is appealing the case to the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati. In the meantime, Dubay is paying $500 a month in child support.

$500/month...for the child support payments towards a baby. And if this is his 50% contribution, then this implies it takes $1000/month to support a baby. LMAO....HAHAHAHA

Yeah Marriage doesn't matter now... because by default (unless she's certifiably insane) she's going to get full custody of the kid(s), and can use them both to: A) suck on the government benefit teat... AND to: B) glom onto a significant portion (if not the majority) of the "baby daddy" paycheck(s) as "child support" payments (which are provided tax free {to her} and which she can then spend however the heck she wants).

You know, I'm really not one for getting government involved intrusively in people's lives, but in the case of things like this, since government is GOING to get involved regardless...

I really think there ought to be some kind of a "prior consent registration"* for BOTH parties; i.e. whereby the woman registers that she is officially WANTING/TRYING to have a child... said registry needs to be publicly available and searchable as a database (similar to wedding & baby-shower registries at stores, etc.)

Any woman who DOESN'T thus "register" should have some (major) penalty assessed against her; not the least of which would be an INABILITY to use the court system to make any child support claims against ANY man.

There obviously could/should be the opportunity/ability for any specifically "targeted" guy (or guys) have to acknowledge that they have been made aware of this, and are consenting to the attempt. What would they gain by doing so? Well at a minimum the ability to demand a Paternal DNA verification test; and possibly some other benefit gain as well -- some REDUCTION in the future potential child support (possibly via some "insurance fund" or something... perhaps even tax supported, since there would be a CLEAR benefit to society to END this bullshit around the "oops" accidental [sic] pregnancy routine; not to mention an additional benefit of having a record {for the sake of the child} of who their biological father is).

Other possible benefits could include the opportunity to have (by default in the case of non-marriage or divorce) some pre-scheduled "custody change" hearing when the kids reach a certain age -- say 10 or 12 -- allowing both the father AND the child to be able to have input and at least the OPPORTUNITY to alter the whole "tender years" bullshit.

In a sense, this is (or prior to the feminist bullshit was) what "marriage" was about -- it wasn't about a "union of romantic love" -- it was about LEGALLY establishing who the father of the children would be (at least in the legal and custody sense).

* I mean think about it if the FAA can require people to "register" their toy RC helicopters (toy helicopters) -- prior to being (legally) allowed to fly them around their own yard or anywhere else -- the SURELY a society ought to be able to require "intention to get pregnant".
