I am 45, and very definitely MGTOW.

I had to explain to my 72 year old mother why she wasn't getting grand children and let me tell you, she wasn't impressed.

Basically I said you know when you divorced dad when I was 8, and before you did, you couldn't even take on the responsibility yourself and had to ask me what I thought about the idea first? And the big bad thing he was doing wrong was - he was working too much.

You know how your best friend gets her manfriend who is in his 60's to give her breakfast in bed, and then screams at him all day?

You know how your best friend's (yeah same family) daughter ran off to canada to chase some guy leaving her husband and 15 year old daughter for good, and sent divorce papers months later?

You know that neighbour we had who had that accident at work and lost an arm, his wife left him and then took him for all his compensation money - and he was found hung in his fairly empty house weeks afterwards?

You know all the divorced dudes who I have met over the years who had to pay alimony, up to 60% (+ house, kids etc) of their paychecks in some cases?

You know every single slut (and I shit you not there was a fucking plethora of them) who had a boyfriend or husband who came onto me when I was in my 20's?

Yeah, that'd be fucking why. It's really hard for biology to win out over a lifetime of observation.

Mentioning your are not threatened by what a man does doesn't mean anything to your inquiry. Also going against biology is not a relevant point because humans gave been going against biology for thousands of years via moral laws and technology so another irrelevant part of your inquiry.

Men going their own is quite literally the best path for men to live a fulfilled life. With the way the future of social law is headed in the west and soon other westernized countries the state of marital relationships with women and sharing resources with them via cohabitation and support is very grim. Our biology that has evolved from the lower primates dictates that we gangbang you and then run off into the forest to repeat the process somewhere else. Our civilizations developed the concept of marriage precisely to subvert the natural biology because it only worked in a hunter gatherer society and was counter productive in a later stage Agrarian society. The second we stopped being nomads and settled down somewhere to grow crops we had to adapt our social behaviour along with that.

Men have reasons to go against harmful society and/or harmful personal relationships.

That doesn't mean going against biology: some of us are wired to want to fuck but have no girlfriend, no wife and no children in the process and since we have use of condoms that's a real option.

No one coined the term: men going their own way is just a normal thing men do and while it's always a smaller portion of the population, anything phrase or sentence these days can be shortened into an acronym.

I would further add a man who has children has a biological need to use force, even lethal force, to stop his children from being harmed or kidnapped. The state often allows a woman to steal a man's children: this makes the man need to murder that bitch to save his children.

Knowing this in advance we have 2 choices: live in a nation where killing that bitch is legal because she has no rights, or, do not have children in a nation where a woman can lawfully steal your children.

This is like chivalry is dead. Chivalry had nothing to do with being nice to women but how to conduct yourself in battle as an honorable warrior. Today's man is, indeed, a besotted fool if he has unprotected sex, marries, and produces kids by her. The reasons this is so can be found in "family court" where the man will be systematically stripped of his children, his house, possibly his car and a sizable portion of his income. Expect his character and his good name to be trashed into the bargain as she tells lies to (a) try to jack up alimony and child support and (b) try to deny or at least seriously hinder visitation rights.

It wasn't a choice for me, I was raised by feminists. To call their abuse, levied upon me for the crime of being male, nightmarish would be an understatement; one wakes up from nightmares, nightmares end. I've always felt extremely uncomfortable when near women.

I identify with the mgtow movement because it's all true. Divorce laws destroy mens lives, women initiate most divorces, women are hypergamous, women are incapable of love, etc.

While the choice was made for me by the feminist hate movement, I am a logical person and likely would have understood the realities of the genders and become mgtow even if I'd had a good upbringing.

By going against biology do you mean sex? In that case we don't go against it lots of men who have gone mgtow (myself included) can and do have sexual relationships with women.

If you mean settle down with a wife and 2.4 children its a simple matter of risk vs reward.

If a man settles down and has children with a woman, she can, at any time, and for no reason, take his house, his car, his savings, alimony, child support and his children, and turn him into a wage slave and if he cannot afford the payments he will go to prison. 55% of marriages end in divorce and 75% of divorces are initiated by the woman. That means that if you are a man, and you get married, there is 42% chance your soon to be ex wife is going to absolutely ruin your life.

OK that's the risk, what is the reward? Well....what, exactly, is the reward? Sex? We get that anyway. Companionship? I have friends. Romantic love? Woman are not wired that way. Domestic help (cooking and cleaning)? I'm one man I can cook and clean for myself its not that much work. Children? This is the one thing we actually need you for. Men cannot have babies. But since the wife is almost certainly going to get custody of your children and then alienate them from you in a divorce, that kind of defeats the point of that.

So, massive and very likely potential downside. Upside? There really isn't any. So, why exactly should a man get married?

You can go further its not restricted the marriage. The simple fact is that, as far as men and the legal system goes, you are dangerous.

If you and I hook up and have sex and you get pregnant, you have me on the hook for child support for 18 years. I have zero say in this decision. As soon as we have sex, you have me over a barrel. So a one night stand and the condom breaks means you've got me by the balls for 18 years.

You can even "sperm jack" me. This is a little disgusting but it does happen. A woman has protected sex with a man, fishes the used condom out of the trash, inserts his semen into herself and if she gets pregnant, that man is liable for child support. This is basically rape, and its legal.

And of course, the ultimate horror, the false rape accusation. Whether or not it ever goes to court, it can still absolutely ruin your life. Rape is hard to prove in court, but in the court of public opinion both men and women have an unconscious psychological bias to favour the word of a woman over a man.

So this what marriage, dating and sex looks like when you are a man. This is the gauntlet we face. All for what? Sex? Its just not worth it. The cultural and legal environment has become so sickeningly toxic to men that more and more men are doing the only rational thing they can do: opt out.

This is self preservation honey. Plain and simple.

I don't see any benefit to dating or being in a relationship. I don't want kids and the only friends I have who have married are all unhappy or getting fucked by their wives through divorce court. A guy I know willingly pays his ex wife's car payments, rent and pays child support and she's still fucking him in divorce. All this whole 5 he lives in his parents' basement and drives their 90's minivan.

Please tell me what you consider the main benefit of getting married, or even being in a relationship.
