Very true, in my bp days I was orbiting some girl and I was nice to her. Of course I got accused of being a "liar" and she unfailingly chose "alpha" chads (dumb guys that talked loudly and were slightly overweight) over me, only to come running back when those relationships inevitably ended, I let her back into my life once but the same exact same thing happthing again.

She tried to get back in about 4 months ago but I politely called her a stupid cunt :)

TIL I'm still immersed in the double standards about women. When I saw the title I was thinking, "c'mon people does that indeed", then I finished reading it and I was like "whoa". The D&D example is perfect. Indeed it is quite normal to be a bit overly nice whenever you meet a stranger, and it is probably because you don't know him, his values, his culture, so until then, you try not to step on him. Then you put a woman in the equation and the model breaks down.

In any case the whole thing is bizarre to me. I've never heard of or seen any man pretending to be nice to get sex, or woman accusing a man of that.

Is this really a thing? Have I somehow missed that my entire life?

The most I've seen is women ignoring men who are nice because they aren't aggressive (and so, not attractive) or men underestimating others who are nice and perhaps getting fucked over completely because of that failure to estimate real threat based on ability. Nice: that's a choice. Ability to do harm is not diminished by the choice to be nice because that's simply proper politeness.

I would also like to add that women use niceness as a tool in social competition and are well aware of it from one another. I believe the ones that view nice guys as an issue have had this belief permeate their perception on men.

Nice Guys, who are really nice, never get laid. This is true for many reasons, chief amongst them being that real nice guys (not the ones faking it to get laid) are not willing to do what the other guy won't. They respect women as human beings, and they put themselves in her place and don't push past what her stated limits are. The guy who wins is the guy who ignores those limits. Being deferential will never get you laid.

Before I found sites like this one online, there was something about my youth that confused the hell out of me. Then, once I found the manosphere, I realized women's sexual mate preferences are biologically encoded: she can't choose, or help, who she's attracted to. Men can't either, but I've met a lot more nice girls who get laid then nice guys. Niceness is a valuable commodity in women (because it correlates with femininity and productive child-rearing) but it isn't in men (because it correlates with lack of capacity to do what it takes to survive).

When I was younger, I was amazed at how often I'd meet a girl's parents, and her folks were all over me, while she was completely disinterested. It happened so frequently that I decided it couldn't be coincidence. I've been in a bar where I've known a girl, and she was out with her mother (this was in college, she was in her early twenties and mom was in her forties or fifties) and her mom was egging her daughter on to get with me, and the daughter was having none of it. Blew my mind away.

Years later, I figured out why: parents are attracted to what's good for their kids (ability to make a living, lack of drug or substance abuse, unlikelihood to ever be in trouble with the law, education, good father/husband material, etc.) but girls are attracted to what's good for their kids, not themselves (Chad gets the edge because tingles=good genetic material). Male aggressiveness is an essential survival skill, but parents are focused on the actual (what has he done with what he has) while girls are focused on the potential (what's the upside of having Chad's baby versus having Blue Pill Billy's?) Blue Pill Billy wins over mom and dad (he's got a good career, and can take care of our daughter) but Chad wins with girls (her parents are disgusted that's he's gone to jail, but her hormones scream out "strong baby batter" when he walks by)

I didn't have success with girls until I realized strength=success. That if you can sound authoritative, you will always win. If you can sound seasoned and experienced, but still seem risky, you'll get her in the sack.

Faking being nice would work best with single mothers looking for substitute daddies for their kids, and with older women whose dried up ovaries leave them less susceptible to 'gina tingles for dominant men.

Faking confidence/arrogance is a much more effective way of getting into young women's pants. I think most fake men would figure this fact out fairly quickly and act accordingly.

Faking being nice would work better with men, though. It may work or in getting sexless platonic relationships with women as well, although women tend to distrust men, and think we're always trying to fuck them. If you're nice to them they'll often just assume you're "faking being nice to get into their pants".

I guess the easiest way to become a woman's sexless platonic friend would be to act as gay and feminine as possible, wear a pink fairy dress with ballerina tights, and a pink bonnet in your hair, and act as flamboyant as possible. Then you might be able to be nice to a girl and become her sexless, platonic, bff. But why would you want to be a woman's sexless, platonic friend anyway? Having been at both ends of the spectrum, sometimes simultaneously I can say it's more about honesty than being alpha, beta, etc.

Women also love their little games, so being direct tends to be daunting. Being honest but subtle about your intentions is the best way to get laid if she is interested in you.
If she's not interested, don't push it or get defensive. That's absolutely the worst thing you can do.

Simply feign disinterest or actively work on someone else and ignore them, not spitefully mind you, but casually as though her answer never really mattered because in the grand scheme it doesn't.

OT proper though:
The difference between chad and "Nice guy" is that chad isn't going to surprise her. She knows what chad is, what to expect from him and whether she wants it or not.
Chad has integrity, he's going to act more or less the same way regardless of her answer. An abrasive dick, but at least one she understands.

A "Nice guy" who is acting to get in her pants, but isn't really being honest with himself or to her is going to set off little alarm bells in their head. Chances are the "nice guy" act is really obvious and comes off as a guy in a white van offering candy more than a bro with a case of beer.

Oldest suggestion in the book but "Be yourself" even if you're a callous overly wordy prick, someone's bound to respect that.

Chad is being himself. "Nice guy" who is acting is not. Actual nice guy (not the person who wispers "Fucking cunt" behind her back) might win out in the end but she's probably too worried you're a "nice guy" to realize it right off.

Most people are not rational, but rationalizing.

I'd say that women are even moreso, judging by their lower representation in the higher ends of the IQ curve.

Being overly nice itself is unattractive, and men who follow this strategy are probably self selected to be less attractive in addition to that. This makes "nice guys" especially unattractive.

Women need to rationalize their disgust, so they construct the fallacious trope of the "nice guy". It's essentially on par with saying that "terrorists attack us because they hate our freedoms".

Why don't women just say that such men are unattractive? You could say it's because most of them (most people, really) are not emotionally strong enough to handle that guilt, since it implies that life is innately unequal.

IMO, it's for a different reason. Sentiments that reveal the "unfairness" or the "might is right" tendencies of life are avoided by everyone because they might inspire others to internalize that attitude themselves. The only thing stopping people from committing mass theft, murder, etc., are physical retaliation (the police) and some type of moral compass.

If you really internalize the mantra that you have the right to do whatever you want, and that there's no objective basis for morality (which is the only paradigm which is consistent with the actual reality of the world) then you have no reason to abstain from theft, murder, and rape, other than retaliation from the police.

The Nice Guys^tm that they are bitching about are the passive-aggressive ones who act nice, then do a 180 flip and act bitchy when their strategy fails.

Nice Guys^tm are dishonest, but I'd venture to guess the majority of guys being nice are not of the dishonest sort.
