TL:DR at the bottom.

32 m here. I was in a relationship and engaged to a 29 year old woman for 18 months. Things were fantastic- for about 3 months. Our first fights weren't so bad at all, so I stuck around. About 5 months in, she informed me that her mood swings were the result of a cocktail of mental disorders that made her a ticking time bomb, and that she took daily meds for it. She planned on quitting 2 of her meds because she didn't like the way they made her groggy and out of it.

I moved in with her about 2 weeks after she stopped her meds. Things were good for about a month. Then we had a fight. She had been in abusive relationships before, allegedly, and in "fear" of my shouting she pulled a large kitchen knife on me and cut me pretty good. I played the caring concerned boyfriend and snatched the knife from her, and put my arms around her. I apologized and we cried together while I wrapped my cut hand.

Another month, and a few arguments after that, and the cheating started. We had been short on rent because my weather dependent job had been slow due to rain. In "fear" of being evicted (mind you we were only a week late on paying the remaining 300 dollars), she admittedly slept with 3 men for 100 bucks a piece. We cried again together- she blamed her irrational behavior on her disorders- and I started running uber eats and door dash when I wasn't working so that I could ease her money woes.

Not long after that, we had a fight. She tried to go for a drive to cool down, but she was extremely drunk, and I took her keys away. She called the police, told them I was sexually assaulting her (which wasn't true at all) and they were en route. She decided to punch me six times in the nose to try to take her keys back from me. Police arrived and after I (the very sober voice of reason) explained everything, she was arrested and charged with Domestic Violence: Assault With Bodily Injury. I bailed her out as soon as her bail was set, and brought her home. We had a long talk about her growing drinking problem and she said she was ready to quit. She told me she loved me and apologized profusely through very heartfelt tears. I cried with her and everything seemingly got better.

The State of Texas decided to pick up the charges against her, and she went to a lawyer that she had worked for in the past. He decides to cover the case, free of charge. I file an affidavit of non prosecution through the lawyer. She starts cheating on me with the very married lawyer. I leave her, but remain in contact as promised so that she didn't end up in big trouble for the charges. Her case ends and she's cleared of charges because of my unwillingness to go to court as the victim. She stopped screwing the lawyer and even told his wife that they'd been having an affair.

I'm the fool who asked her to give it one more shot. We dated again for about 6 months. October 16th we went to see Joker at our movie theater. After a great date, we went to the bar to do karaoke. While taking a cigarette break outside, she decides to start talking very friendly with a guy who was sitting on the other side of me. I got mad and we left. We argued the entire way back to my apartment. Well, we almost made it there. While stopped to gas up her car, she decided to drive off in a fit. She ended up hitting me with her car that night. I decided to call the police and filed charges against her. Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The cops arrived at my apartment, about 2 blocks from the gas station, and took my report. Then I get the cuffs slapped on me. She called ahead of me apparently and told them I choked her while we were fighting on the way home.

I did 48 days in jail and plead guilty to a crime I did NOT commit, because of a crazy woman and her lying and cheating tendencies. I plead guilty and I received 7 years of probation for something I didn't do. She's currently being indicted for Aggravated Assault With a Deadly Weapon, but hasn't done a single day in jail because of her lawyer who trades his services for hers. She's not going to get in any trouble, at least not like I did, because she fucks her lawyer and lies about me allegedly abusing her. I loved that woman and she destroyed me.

And that's why I'm here fellow MGTOW. I will never again let a woman ruin me like this again. I'm fucked for the next 7 years because of this woman. I'm going to go to court every time this time. I'm going to push with the DA to have her locked up. Her attorney/illegitimate boyfriend is very good though, and I fear that even with surveillance footage of her hitting me with the car- her lawyer is going to get her off scott free.

Thanks for having me here. I'm glad to have discovered MGTOW.

TL:DR I was with a very abusive woman for 18 months who hid her shitty behavior behind thinly veiled mental illness- until she hit me with her car and I got locked up for it.
