I had my vasectomy today. If you have any questions, now is the perfect time to ask while the process is fresh in my mind.

A little background info:

About a month ago I started googling for urologists in my area. I checked the schedules of the 3 best rated using Health Grades and called up their offices to see who was available for the long weekend. Once scheduled I went in for an orientation about 2 weeks ago where I had to sit through a video and fill out some medical forms. Pretty standard stuff.

They gave me some take-home paperwork about what to do before the procedure and how to proceed once it was completed. They also gave me a couple of prescriptions for the pre and post-op meds which I had to get filled that week--prescriptions for controlled substances expire after a week and the procedure was further out than that, so keep this in mind and don't delay getting them filled!

Today I had the procedure at 1pm. Ask me anything.
