The obesity epidemic has been instrumental in ruining dating and the sexual marketplace. Too many fucking fatties. When only 30% of women are basically normal weight, with only probably 8% that look really good naked, what's there to look forward to? Why marry? Hell, why even ask her out on the second date?

The chronic problem with overweight and obesity has destroyed the SMP. There's just too much interest in the top 15% of women, too much competition, ain't nobody got time fo' dat.

That's just one of the reasons marriage rates are plummeting, in my opinion. But it's such an overlooked one and one that the media won't touch.

Finances, birth control, economic conditions, growing non-religiosity, acceptance of children by single parents... All that for me plays second-fiddle.

If the vast majority of women looked like human beings with nice hip-to-waist ratios and thigh gaps then long term commitment through marriage would be much higher. Instead, most women look like Shrek and it's fucked up the dating, commitment and marriage markets.

Or, alternately, marriage isn't worth shit for a man and has zero benefit, and since women only associate with men in relationships for money and personal gain, they don't need men for that, so they don't give a crap about marriage (until their money runs out).

But let's continue the socialist narrative of "poor people are too poor to get married".

In Florida, the cost for the marriage license, including the state and county fees is $93.50. However, couples who are Florida residents that attend an approved premarital course will only have to pay $61.00.

$93.50 is what it costs to get legally married. At most.

So I guess poor people can't get enough money together to get legally married eh?

Too poor to theoretically move in together and be legal in the eyes of the law and split expenses and double income?

Hmm....that would be a lie.

And it's not like we don't know the male pays 3x as much to halve his "expenses".

And has to live a lifestyle far above what's necessary.

But if we follow the "theory" model everyone benefits.

So how are people "too poor" to get married when it benefits them financially?

One day society will reset its balance again. Doesn't take much, just look at the damage from coronavirus. A crashing hedonism fueled economy will spawn drastic changes out of necessity, and the cycle continues.
