It's because Muslims are predominantly middle-eastern (not white) and to intersectional feminists, being majority POC makes them victims and therefore exempt from criticism.

Radfems criticise Islam all the time. Intersectional feminists/libfems are the ones who tie themselves into knots defending Muslims and middle-eastern culture.

Nah Islam is pretty shit at its core. Its a veneer of acceptability.

Islam was created by a warlord to be better at being a murdering raping warlord.

Christianity is basically a standard cult, this one just got lucky and took hold after saner heads tried to end it.

Mormonism is like Islam, only replace warlord with con man, oh and less murdering and rape but same wife policy.

Pretty much all are like this down the list.

They defend Muslims for the same reason why they defend transgenders and gays and other marginalized groups. They believe these groups are often discriminated against, so of course as leftists they defend them.

It's literally as simple as that, but it doesn't surprise me that TRP would try to find some absurd explanations for it.
