The dark triad stoic manly man loner archetype the redpill likes to push is an autistic fantasy that only really looks cool in fiction unless you are actually rich and powerful. Most natural slayers are the cool laid back chad types so I’d say stick with what works for you.

sounds like a good way to 24/7 compare yourself with others and act uptight.

Also sounds like too much effort to try and think how to play out a fantasy character. I'd rather focus my mental energy on relevant shit in my life.

As a general learning tip - whatever book you pick up, you're learning that guy's personal style. That's especially if they tell you that this is "game" like they were talking about calculus. There are billions of guys, billions of girls, and there is in infinite number of ways to put the chorizo in the taco.

Now if you like Roosh and you want to run game like Roosh, then use his most recent book. Keep in mind, his switch from Bang and Day Bang (both as good as Game) roughly coincides with changes in his POV.

His book, Game, is against the "dancing monkey", and basically sees the smiley guy/cracking jokes thing as a "clown game". That's his opinion, and I can see why he's come to the conclusion.

Much like Mark Manson aka Entropy from Neil Strauss' The Game, a lot of guys don't like "being fake" or "putting in effort" or "changing themselves" in order to meet women.

What you gotta understand is that there is no one personality that is gonna get 100% of the women you want. Your best best is to find a "style" that matches up to how you personally are and go from there and use TRP is some set DOs and DON'Ts.

Remember women are gonna know when you're being incongruent with your own self and that's a MASSIVE turn off.

Both work.

The stoic hunter thing usually works when you high smv is clear from the get go. (tall guy, chiseled jawline, tasteful suit, big money environment, etc) Then it gets them ultra wet and is usually a very rewarding experience. That kind of stoicism is ultra high value behaviour because it let's her know you know she knows your worth. ;)

It also works when you have a tye of girl you like and that you know will fall for you as soon as your eyes meet and hence you can afford to remain unimpressed by other thots.

However, most guys around here are probably more average looking and they don't have that type of quiet instant pre-qualification going on.

I certainly don't have it, so my game is more talkative, self-amusing and fun. Bù then again I do zero night game, so in comparison I am probably still kinda quiet.

Don't follow every PUA stuff what is written in the book, it will mess your head up and may ruin your natural game.

And same technique doesn't work on all targets. Some girls serious type of guy and some prefer funny dude.

I liked Game a lot too. Gives a lot of practical advice on taking action. I think it’s good to have a balance between being focused and laid back. Being too focused and serious can make you seem too outcome dependent so I would focus on being chill/laid back as well. Also in the book, Roosh says that you can use other guys to gain access to women in a group. By being friendly and befriending the guys, you can gain favor with them and they will introduce you to the girls in their group. Creating good rapport with the group is important because it can prevent cockblocking and sometimes the group will even encourage the girl to separate with you.

Whatever comes more naturally to you, its exhausting to completely fake your personality and women are great at reading people so they may be able to tell that you're acting.

Personally I go back and forth between these depending on my mood. Im naturally stoic and a man of few words, but sometimes I get in that jester mood.

I haven't read the book but I'm assuming you misunderstood what he said. No, you should not be a "stoic hunter" in the field. Maybe your inner-game would be that of a stoic hunter, but I still think that's terrible advice for picking up chicks. Because in a decent bar, you would likely spot a number of the hot ones the second you walk in the door. So there's no need to "hunt" you just spot them and go over and talk to them. Which is a lot easier to do in the smiling/self-amusing frame than in the stoic hunter frame.

If you look at any action hero these days how many of them are Clint Eastwood types? They almost all have either a positive attitude or a good sense of humor (either dry and sarcastic, or upbeat and witty).

If doing the Clint Eastwood Witcher archetype doesn't feel natural to you, then don't center on that. It sounds gay but "be yourself". As long as you still maintain confidence, frame, and don't act like a beta and you'll be fine. You shouldn't put so much effort into being a character, you need to be the alpha version of yourself.
