I have a funny feeling it has nothing to do with race in this situation. It's a whole other can of worms imo, the whole gun debate. I'm fairly certain "peaceful protests" get so out of hand because everyone there feels they can loot things and destroy property with impunity seeing as chances are the cops will only use hoses and tear gas , and their constituents won't hold them accountable, they'll join in! At this anti-lockdown protest, nearly everyone has a gun (many with military grade shit, one guy had a fucking rocket launcher). I wouldnt be surprised if that had something to do with stopping people from acting like animals, and potentially getting put down like one by decent members of society.

Oh absolutely, we definitely all see that and this post is great at highlighting it. I just noticed the guns and used it as an opportunity to piggy back and bring to light another thing demonized by people that is actually a force for good. It's a dense meme with a lot of takeaways, nice post.

I have no sympathy for the type, ignorance to me is not an excuse, its even more subhuman if you fully lack the ability to even recognize your own deplorable behavior, what else could consciousness be except the awareness by the mind of itself. I am of the firm belief certain people shouldn't have the right to vote or have any say in society, and the ones who hold power should be "philosopher kings". If you're too stupid to use common sense, and as a result you fuck over other people's livelihood, you should be put in the slave caste or culled.

Theres a reason early republics/democracies only allowed a handful to vote... it was always those who would be called upon in war and had a vested interest in their government. Those who owned land (ie paid taxes). If you aren't contributing already, what do you care if taxes go up... or if industry faces more regulation... or the local restaurant has more guidelines?

Exactly, they are half way there with age restrictions as it is. I mean what ever you can use to justify someone who is 17 and 364 days old not being able to vote and allowing someone who is 17 and 365 days old to vote, has to make far less sense than restricting any other demographic such as those who can't be drafted, or those who can't demonstrate at least a highschool level of understanding of economics and much more.

That said, would have to have a special license to carry a rocket launcher.
Furthermore what could be considered military weapondry is "fully automatic" weapons. (which btw fully auto weapons really are not that effective save for suppression fire, waste of ammo if you ask me)
Civilians can have them as well but the license to own such weapons is hella expensive.
On the note of "military grade" many companies market their products as "military grade"
I'm in the navy, its a wonder we get anything done because alot of our support equipment is cheap, rundown or outright broken.
Often times we are required to use inferior tools because the navy refuses to pay for anything better and in most cases we are required to use what is provided to us by the navy as well (furthermore at this point I refuse to spend my own money on the navy/personal tools to make my navy job easier even if it were allowed)

Thanks for your service, first and foremost. And that's very interesting, I didn't know many of the intricacies (personally I never tried to acquire some of that weaponry, if my pistol and rifles cant stop what ever is coming for me, chances are even a rocket launcher wont help much. So I don't know many of the intricacies of it).
That being said, damn that sucks lol. I have heard marines complaining about the same thing, they are trained to believe they are the most elite warriors to ever grace the battlefield, but are essentially given sticks and stones to fight where as the Army has the full support of Uncle Sam and all the fixings that come with it (by comparison).

Did a check up and I got the license fee part wrong. (its only 200$)
The weapons themselves are the most expensive part (around 20k+ that and they have to have been manufactured prior to 1986)
I think what I was thinking of was the license to deal in fully automatic weapons, that is hella expensive.
Been ages since I looked into the deal, namely because I probably will never go out of my way to buy a fully automatic weapon. too expensive and functionally impractical IMO.

Sorry for the separate comment but posted my other reply before finish reading the second half of your reply.
Near as I understand it, albeit from a slightly biased source of info (navy only that is to say) in terms of quality of facilities and equipment it goes something like Airforce > Navy > Army (according to what you posted otherwise I would have army = marines) > marines.
That said even in terms of tech you got to think...
Hmm let me put this in terms i'm most familiar, I'm an ex-submariner so the example I will use is the virginia class submarine, our latest and greatest sub.

So the project/planning phase started back in 1991 as project centurion.
The first keel wasn't even laid down till late 1999 (september 2nd) fully constructed and launched 16 august 2003, acquired (spoken bought) 12 october 2004, commissioned (actually put into service as a proper warfighting vessel) 23 october.
So from the time it went into planning, started being built and became fully operational 13 years had passed. Mind you all this was just for a single virgina submarine.
That said they did design the virgina to be modular so they could swap out whole systems on the ship at once there by making it easier to modernize as a platform, but my point is by the time the first one was even built some if not all of its technology was already 13 years old.
Moreover as it is the newest class of submarine and the planned replacement for the los angles class, they are still building them, mind you they are likely updating the tech as they go with newer ones but even then it takes 4 years to build a single sub and likely the navy isn't going to want to shell out additional $$ just to make these the most advanced submarines ever, meaning they will stick to similar systems as the previously built virgina classes.
That is to say in all likelihood sans updated versions to those systems as they fix various flaws with them, the technology itself is still 1991 being built in 2020.
It may be true that we are the most advanced navy in the world (or so we claim) but due to these kinds of design/funding/speed of build type issues our tech is usually significantly behind current year times.

Pretty sure its not just a black person thing, and it certainty isn't exactly a rare or one off incident for any other race. I have no shame in being white and I can recognize the demonization that is becoming more prevalent, but I have seen plenty of white people and in general people other than black people acting like subhuman savages (and honestly, for some of the dumbest reasons, like when their favorite team wins a sporting event). Even during the 1992 LA riots, you can see plenty of participation from white people, and they also started and made up the majority of participants during the whole "occupy wall street" fiasco in which white people across the entire nation were rioting, among plenty of other examples.
I won't beat around the bush and call it anything than what it is when people destroy property, no matter what their skin color is. Rioting is rioting, destruction of property and looting is destruction of property and looting. The physical appearance of the individual doesn't change the fundamental nature of the crime, a white dude breaking windows and setting couches on fire isn't a protest, it too is a riot.

Enough people saw what was really going on, even the surviving brother and fiance. People don't give two shits about the guy killed, they just wanted an excuse to steal whatever they could grab. Call me cynical but in the city closest to me we average one murder a day (they slacked off during the pandemic) and nobody cares. One officer gets rough and you never hear the end of it.
