Definitely needed to hear this, thanks. It shows a lot about someone when you open up to them about the stress and trauma you're dealing with and when conflict arrises they default in to attacking you and calling you crazy.

i remember a time my ex was in and out of the picture, half a year (i know, i knowwww) into hot/colding me, leaving breadcrumbs but never committing to plans. when my Dad died suddenly of a heart attack, it was like a 50 gallon ice bucket was doused over my head. i stopped fucking around waiting for this absolute manchild, and started seriously dating and having high standards. i met my Husband within 6 months and the rest is history.

don't be me though please, you don't need a tragic event to propel you into reality. have enough self awareness and respect to do it for yourself!

And this is why we HAVE to pay attention to the little red flags from day 1 and take them seriously. The LVM who can’t handle little problems and everyday setbacks is not going to suddenly become a dependable stand-up guy when shit truly hits the fan.
