How can you have an Adventure as a young man today?

The cold truth is that to have fun you need money and power in any case.

The primary goal for a man is to get a fulfilling job that allows him to grow in skills and wealth, which is not trivial at all.

The ideal situation would be having such type of job and have adventures in the attempt of improving, like traveling to expand a business, meet new people, expand your horizons.

On the other hand our economy is in recession and just having a decent job puts you above the average of the population.

If you are a nobody, you will.probably need to push to improve your financial situation up to 40yo before having the resources to have fun.
No wonder young women leech from older men to have what they want without sweating, after 30yo they are on the same boat of men but wothout the background of an hard working one, thus they aim for marriage.

Life of men is harsh, we have less fun and more work to do because there is no way we can leech or have safty nets to pay for us.

Get a motorcycle and start adventure riding. I have had the greatest adventures solo and in groups doing this.

Tough to say - I'm also in your shoes (Work at a unicorn tech start up - pay is low for the hours I put in, and the equity doesn't really make it up for it as I came in late). I work, I hang out with friends once a week, I play video games. Ironically, I'd probably "adventure" more if I was in a relationship, but fuck that. I'd rather do drugs, at least drugs don't nag.

Couple of thoughts I have here:

There are only so many problems that can be solved
- E.g. if you wanna be a founder and create the next big thing, you're facing quite the uphill battle
There are many opportunities in the trades (Plumbing, HVAC, etc.) that will always be there, pay well, and, with experience, allow you to be your own boss
- (Pro) Good hours - not gonna work till midnight on a Saturday every night like i'm doing now
- (Pro) Good money - you'll make the same low 6 figure salary I do
- (Pro) Industry is and will continue to suffer a massive labor shortage
- (Con) It's not gonna be very fulfilling work
Even the "coolest" jobs will get old after a while
- Being a sick Venture Capitalist, you'll get bored of the constant pitching and posturing
- Being an Investment Banker / Management Consultant - the work will get old very quickly and you'll only be left with the politicking
- Being a Youtuber, Influencer, or Television Personality - the travelling, needing to think up fresh ideas

I know I didn't answer your question, but I'm also thinking through the same sort of stuff. Just thought I'd share my own notebook!

i know exactly what you mean

since my teens i never liked the idea of working for somebody for 8 hours of my day, it always seemed like a waste of time

And now im in my mid 20s and am working 8h a day

BUT i have invested big into cryptocurrencies, this is going to be my golden horse that will bring me out of this stupid system, because theres just no way to do anything that makes you happy long term without having any money

I want to buy myself a piece of land and become just a simple farmer

No boss, no blue pilled coworkers, just me and my hard work

If you want to travel, feel important AND work at the same time, Welding Inspector job is for you. Couple of points about it:

It is a skilled trade, you are not entirely tied up to a certain employer, and can sell your services as a contractor.
It is always in demand. Welding as a job/surface mating method is not going anywhere in the next couple of centuries, unlike other, less skilled trades and factory jobs that are getting automated.
Traveling is guaranteed and pretty much obligatory. At least within your country's borders.
It pays a very decent buck
You WILL feel important. Performing a surface or depth RF weld joint analysis and discovering a cavity or propagating crack in the pipe means saving a 100k deadweight freighter vessel, power plant or construction crane, not to say countless human lives.

Cons of Welding Inspector trade:

Just as welding, inspection constitutes a very skilled trade. Perhaps the trade that requires the most study and skill relative to other trades. Not for art major-minded individuals or backpackers.
Traveling is pretty much obligated. Unless you want to settle with one particular company, get ready to jump from town to town to country for a contract gig.
Just as with many other trades, it gives low career development prospects. You are basically a human automaton that can perform one particular job but has no foundation for others (unless you go back to uni). A con that is shared among skilled trade jobs. You are still free to open your own consulting business tho.

Not a professional career advice by any means, but it should give you a clue on what to research on if you are thinking on giving this job a chance.

There's nothing stopping you now that you are MGTOW! Get a van and travel the country like a hippie, god knows idiots do it all the time and somehow survive

If my job wasn't piss easy and didn't pay so well, I'm out, the only reason I worked hard in the beginning was because I thought I would get married someday and marriage requires a lot of money for the woman to eventually steal from you, otherwise I'd be living out of a van collecting welfare and having a blast
