My best friend is a gay guy and we truly are soulmates. We have consistently been there for one another, have similar goals and values, and push each other to be better people. I love him with all of my heart in the non romantic sense of the word.
The other day we were talking about how great it would be to get “friend married” and be perma-roommates. Personally I think it’s silly that sex is seen as a necessary component of a life long bond with another person. Seeing as men make their dick abundant and offer little value to our lives, why not pick a life partner based on emotional/practical needs and get sex elsewhere when we feel like it? Neither one of us want children and as we are both in medicine so we offer each other a much a better dual income to buy a home than the vast majority of our respective dating pools.
Thoughts? Anyone known or heard of anyone who has done this?
