I need help! My boyfriend of about 2 months has a birthday coming up in early January and I also have no idea what to get him for Christmas (I’ve already committed to giving him a belated gift since I won’t be seeing him on Christmas anyway). What should the magnitude of the gifts be? For reference I’m a grad student so I’m not exactly rolling in money but I’m comfortable and have a decent amount to spare. He’s given me small but thoughtful gifts in the past that weren’t attached to any occasion, but we haven’t had any other holidays or birthdays for me to have a reference point.
