“Most often what you find is that these women are in a relationship where the partner is violent,” Sharps said. “Intimate partner violence is about power and control. When a woman is pregnant, she is very much preoccupied by the pregnancy and her baby - which is what she should be doing.”

As the woman becomes more distracted by her pregnancy, the partner feels threatened, Sharps said. “He feels he maybe doesn’t have as much control because she is not paying as much attention to him and he resorts to violence,” she explained. “And generally that violence gets worse and it can escalate to homicide.”

That’s why all pregnant women should be screened, Sharps said. “You want to find out what is going on in the relationship,” she added. “Is she concerned or afraid? Does she have a partner who is hurting her?”

Lesson: DON’T GET PREGNANT BY LVM. PERIOD.

I just read in the news about a police officer that murdered his autistic 7 or 8 year old and the mother had been fighting for years telling the courts the man was dangerous. The courts took his side because he was a cop.

LVMs are everywhere and having a career is not enough on its own to consider any man HV. They present as HV right up to the point they don’t get their way, and then it all comes crumbling down.

It’s important to stay vigilant and never compromise your standards. Makes stuff like the above and the article I read less likely occur.

Also because they feel inadequate. Deep down they know they don't have what it takes to be a good father and role model. Those feelings of incompetence and inferiority make them frustrated and angry.

And guess who they'll take that out on? You got it.

Honestly not a surprise. Look at all the news stories where men kill women when they discover pregnancy. Or the cases where the man has killed his pregnant partner and the other children because he suddenly wants out of family life.

Getting pregnant seems too risky these days. Men who seem normal but turn abusive during pregnancy, or they cheat, or they walk out. It's really not worth risking health and life for.

Then there are the vile stories of men who sexually get off to the baby moving and think of the baby as an accessory to a threesome while having sex with their pregnant wife. Men are total sickos when it comes to pregnancy.

If the urge to have kids is so strong, go to a sperm bank. Less chance of being murdered or abused, or tied down to a man for the rest of your life.

Idk I feel like this article is not correct in saying these men kill women because they are jealous of women giving attention to a baby and not them. More likely they are mad the woman got pregnant because they don’t want to be fathers. Theres been plenty of news stories of men killing women for getting pregnant and refusing an abortion. That’s why you never get pregnant by a man you aren’t married to, married men are far less likely to kill their pregnant wives, it can still happen as we have seen a few high profile cases but it’s definitely not nearly as risky as getting pregnant by some boyfriend. It shocks me how some women allow themselves to become pregnant and have babies by men who sometimes aren’t even their boyfriends! That is beyond risky.
