A few years back in a group someone made a flesh light joke and one of the girls there said she didn’t know what it was. Acted dumbfounded and made them explained and was visibly disgusted.

Afterwards she told a couple of us she knew what it was all along. She was a general queen.

I think feigning innocence in these topics works in your favor both to draw out the creeps and abusers, as well as to delineate clear boundaries with non abusers.

Example:

Him: “I saw an article someone shared about how most women actually like it rough but are too shy to ask. What do you think?”

You: “what do you mean? Rough what?”

Him: “Sex. Like rough sex.”

You: blank face “like what?”

Him: “oh idk like hitting slapping hair pulling, you know, rough. Are you into that? Do you think it’s true most girls are?”

You: acts horrified “😱omfg! What?! Why I want anybody ever to hit me?! That’s insane!😫much less the person I’m having sex with wtf”

Him: “I mean, it’s quite common. I just read about it that’s all”

You: “🥺I think you must have misunderstood the article. That sounds awful!!! I’d NEVER want to be hurt much less during sex!”

Him: “lol okay, I mean different strokes for different folks”

You: “would you ever hit a woman? Do you think it’s hot to be mean or hurt her?”

..... and there you go. From his sincere or insincere reaction you’ll be able to get a feel.

Also it doesn’t just show you’re “not into it” because you’ve yet to try it, but that you’re put off by even the mere thought.
