This woman's capacity to rationalize away bad behavior is impressive. Fucking her ex wasn't cheating, but it was morally wrong? Thanks for throwing us a bone there, I guess?

This is a perfect example of the "women want alpha fucks and beta bucks" trope in action. We have the beta, a 50ish guy who likely finances and subsidizes her lifestyle. I imagine it wasn't just the one incident of him complaining about how hard his day was earning the money that she spends which prompted her to leave him. Enter the alpha male ex. It wouldn't surprise me if he'd been working his text game on her for a while, which she willingly went along with because it's just texting, which in her mind is not cheating. In any event the beta-ness causes her hypergamy to kick in and she goes to the alpha male ex's place to get it from him. The next day, after she's satisfied her short-term need to fuck an alpha male, she probably realized she has a pretty good deal with her beta bf, and that her alpha male ex is a broke and sleazy douche, and magnanimously decided to go back to him. It's a tale as old as time itself my friends.

Query whether she is an alpha widow?

Perhaps the only thing more astounding than the woman's hubris and capacity for self-victimization is the comment that this really isn't the end of the world because due to the age difference, the beta bf will likely die first anyway. Yes, I suppose that's one way of looking at it.

Although, the woman's assertion in the comments that it's her right to fuck whomever she wants when she's single and how she would "understand" if he did the same thing is a strong contender for "most insane statement" of the post. Strangely enough, if the beta bf were to fuck someone else, the girl might actually "understand" it in the sense that she would see that the beta bf has a higher SMV, which may cause her to want him for reasons other than his money and generosity.
