And entitled. Our culture allows this because men have been given power they don't deserve.
So despite having kids, a family, or general responsibilities, they aren't required to maintain them. Most unpaid labor defers to women. That's why they're "selfish", because there aren't consequences.

I just watched Becoming, and Michelle Obama was explaining that Barack always prioritized himself (for example, he went to the gym everyday when their kids were young). And one day she was like... I need to prioritize myself as well. They're happily married!

No. Men may be narcissistic and even sociopathic in a lot of cases, but I will not lose my empathy and be like them. I will not lose my warmth and turn into a reptile like them.
Just because they put themselves above their families and children doesn't mean we have to be this way.

Yup. Most middle aged men are miserable for a reason. A lot of the younger ones too.
Women should drop men like that, but we would be miserable if we became empty and cruel like them.

This is something I've had to face. We have to be careful that we don't harden ourselves because of bad experiences. We should retain our lovely qualities.
