so i (19f) accidentally got into a "relationship" with someone (18m) i initially thought was a HVM. it took me 1 week to realize i was sorely mistaken. it's winter break now and i have 1.5 more weeks of not seeing him. i'm trying to make a plan to break up with him A S A P (idk if it's even possible to "break up" if we are in a relationship at this point lmao), but i'm not rly sure how to go about doing so due to the following circumstances:

  • we are both on the executive board of a relatively small club at our college, and have quite a few close mutual friends within this club. as far as i know, only one person in the club (one of our mutual friends) knows about our "relationship". the last thing i want is to make the dynamic between our friend groups awkward in any way; i care WAY more about the club than i care about him
  • we have to be in the same skit performance for a show that our club is hosting in a little over 2 months from now. the mutual friend who knows about our "relationship" is also in the skit and i don't want things to get awkward there either
  • i think we're still planning on going to 2 concerts together, both of which are 3 months from now. he hasn't gotten his ticket for the first show. i said he could have my +1 ticket to the 2nd show if he paid me back for it first, but nothing has been confirmed yet. we've both been waiting FOREVER to see these 2 artists live and i rly don't want to go by myself for safety reasons....... but getting tix for the 2nd show was SO stressful and idk if he's worth giving the ticket to if i can sell it for more $$ online :/
  • i've considered staying friends with him after we "break up" for the sake of our relationships within the club, and bc we were already good friends before we started "dating", but idk if this is a good idea. i sure as hell don't want to get back together but who knows what kind of BS he might try to pull
  • i can personally keep my composure when i'm around him and other people in the club, and i'd be willing to postpone "breaking up" with him if it's a better strategic move considering the circumstances.

what should i do?
