I think women are avoiding it. Whenever I have downloaded the app, I have lasted a couple of days and then deleted it. So many men making contact, but it never evolves into a date, so much shallow conversation, so many men lying about why they are on there. It's really time wasting and I lose patience within a few days! There are those rare few people who have ended up in good relationships from Tinder, but I find it so time wasting sifting through so many LVM. It's kind of become notorious as a hook up app, so I understand women avoiding it. It's mostly beneficial for only LVM who want to cheat, or have sex with multiple women.

OLD is a multi billion dollar industrial “love” complex with most of the popular sites owned by one entity. Imo, the profits are made by not providing the services intended: dates and/or relationships.

OLD will change practices when they can no longer make money and experience growth in the present model.

And just like all the other fairytales and bullshit lies women are forced into believing because of cultural practice- we are incredulously told by “experts”, the lying sacks of shits that run OLD and “common sense” that favors the patriarchal status quo- that there is “parity”. That there’s a nearly equal amount of m/f even when our experiences our universally trash.

Who “benefits” OLD? Men. OLD feeds their delusional ideas about the dispensing of sex and completely objectifies women. And they’re willing to pay- even if they never get dates because that’s its own reward.

As time moves and the OLD market is further saturated imo the quality of engagement and interactions for women will deteriorate even further. It’s a nasty place filled with ugly behavior that doesn’t align with the lives self respecting women.

I hate OLD.

I don't have hard data but from my experience, that sounds right. Most of the female profiles I'd find were actually couples looking for a threesome also.

Probably because there are a lot of cheating losers and because LVM keep getting back on to prey on women after getting dumped. The women I know have decided they’d rather be alone than be with deadweight losers. Meanwhile my single guy friends, even the better ones, are desperately trying to get a date

I have pondered this puzzling disparity of the male to female ratio on online dating apps for almost 6 months straight. I'm obsessed with relationships and it's a passion of mine to read about them online. The research I'm seeing points to the general fact that the true ratio of single men to women is at or about 1 to 1.

So this left me wondering. If the number of single men to single women is at or about 1:1, why are there SO MANY MORE men on online dating apps than women?

My top hypothesis is that the ratio of "single" men to women is not really 1:1. The amount of men we see on online dating apps who are presenting themselves as "single" are in fact, in relationships, are married, and are on the apps, looking to "upgrade". Once they've found a woman who replies back to them, they dump their GF and jump into another relationship, immediately. Or they begin telling their wife or GF that he's lost attraction, he's met someone else, he's fallen out of love, etc.

This is just my own top hypothesis after literally 6 months of casually researching this. I am CONVINCED that at least 60% of men who are married or are in relationships, secretly have dating profiles and are actively looking for other women, and as a result, the amount of males to females on the apps is something along the lines of 3:1.... and not 1 to 1.

I am UTTERLY CONVINCED that some men are never ever ever truly monogamous. They might disable or delete their dating apps for a week, a month, or a few months, but many of them are back on the app once their SO's suspicions are put to rest. This will tip the scales of OLD apps in the direction of more men than women on the apps. Women, once they find a monogamous SO and an LTR relationship, tend to disable the apps and get off of them for good... whereas it's not always the case with men.

Test my theory, ladies. If my hypothesis is correct, AT LEAST 60% of you reading this comment will find evidence of infidelity in their relationships, when they search their man's phone, laptop, or when they go through their ISP's records and look at what websites were visited. Some of you reading this comment will have a really bad feeling in the pit of their stomachs, or will experience a "heart sinking" feeling... because secretly you know it's true and are in denial of your feelings or you are being gaslit about what's happening. This is called a "hidden emotion". Google it and face the problem, head on, before 2020. Anyway, if you DO decide to go through his phone, keep in mind that men are very good at hiding their shit, so you'll actually need to go to Comcast, or Verizon, or whoever's providing you internet and request to see everything that was done on your WiFi.
