I read this and it made my heart cry. This world is too much. I cannot bear the thought of women and children suffering like this. Yet I know this is how most of them live in developing nations. I’d say the majority of women in this world have a hellish life due to varying degrees of slavery ( be it domestic for a husband or in the workforce as a severely underpaid laborer) and of course violence and sexual abuse.

The world is a brutal place, ladies, and we bear the brunt of it.

We need to collectively avoid(if possible boycott) using these brands and spread the word about the labor involved in obtaining palm oil. Ik unrealistic but beauty products are not a necessity. We can hit two birds with one stone, breakdown the glamourised image of women and mainly reduce the supply for these products.

My God. I wasn't prepared for reading this. We can forget so easily that slavery never stops. Men continue to seek to accumulate and stockpile power by compromising others, playing puppet master and reaping the spoils. Its pathological. And I will say men since we're living in the world they claim all the credit for.

Men in every group rely on the fact they can always dominate compromised women physically, sexually and often financially. If they can hobble a woman in any of these ways first, easier pickings.

So many men want to burn women and girls down, stamp the ashes into the ground and piss on them. All for their worthless feeling of being the big dick.

I'm so grief stricken for these women, their children and countless others everywhere like them.

Men will rape women or manipulate them into abusive relationships, impregnate and know their child is there and then happily condemn them to the same contemptuous treatment as their mothers.

The offspring of a chattel animal is just another potential chattel animal to abuse - if it survives, without their input, to become ripe to benefit from. See deadbeat dads as old fogeys crawling back to their abandoned kids in their dotage.

A child is lucky if their father believes it is a positive reflection on him to showcase a well cared for family who go on to live a conspicuously good life in view of other men. A man who never doubts the humanity of women and girls is a unicorn for sure.

Reading the cosmetics ads after finishing the report, I felt sickened. I'll be taking a good hard look at how all my actions affect women anywhere. Its up to me to do what I can.

The majority of men only care about those other men whose approval or envy they seek, if they care at all.
