Semantics. Who cares. I know it’s a lot easier said than done but you just have to trust your girl to do what is right. If she doesn’t then so be it, it will suck but life goes on and you’ll be ok. In the meantime I’d focus on working out those insecurities with reading, journalling/reflection and meditation.

Don’t invite him anywhere. If he’s not an old friend that is worth holding on to, cut him loose. I’ve had a close friend who did that shit with everybody’s girls. On the one hand, if they’re willing to go along, then use it as a vetting tool and move forward. Either way the dude sounds like he sucks. My friend does, for more than one reason. We’ve been friends from birth so I’m not cutting him off. And he’s learned to stay away from others girls. But he wanted to start a business earlier this year and I would not go in with him. There’s a level of friendship and trust that he’s lost. If I hadn’t known him since birth he would be cut from the team. We also live in different states now so no huge commitment

If he’s a close friend I wouldn’t mind but my close friends also respect me enough to get up and offer me the seat without me saying a word.
