It doesn't matter why they stay away from him. Much of the time, it's probably just because he's left them behind. But some of the time, it's worse.

But here's the deal, even if he has feelings for you, he still has a mindset that has alienated other women in his life - the ones who know him the best.

Edit: he will come up with last minute excuses for WHY he acted a certain way - not because he loves you, but because he wants to further use you. Any chances you give him, after calling him out the first time will be used against you as proof that he's the good guy all along, and everyone else is crazy (including you).
