There was another case where a 17-year-old killed himself after being falsely accused of rape. And months later, his mother killed herself as well out of heartbreak. The BBC barely reported on the story even in the local section, due to the fact that they couldn’t cover every story. Yet they had time to cover a story about a bus driver helping a lady across the road.

Apparently, the BBC declined to do a video report about the teen’s suicide unless the mother (who, as stated above, was devastated by the death and committed suicide) agreed to do an exclusive interview on her own son’s death.

Only option is to go monk, no one really cares if a guy gets ruined. Out of sight out of mind, gray rock defense.

Out right false accusations mostly happen when a woman wants revenge or she trying to cover up her indiscretions.

Most other cases involves alcohol /drugs or a reinterpretation as to what constitutes coercion. Revenge or covering up indiscretions still come into play. These are the most dangerous because there is a enough of a kernel of truth to the story to make people think it's true, que up the social media mob.
