Here is a phenomenon I have observed. I'll be out with a buddy, talking to women, and enjoying myself. It's always interesting to notice how the two women we're talking to will almost immediately recognize who is the leader between the two men, and instinctively go after him, competing for his attention. This is especially bothersome when one of them is a 5 (or less) and the other is an 8 or above - it completely fucks up the entire dynamic, and often times both of us (men) are forced to walk away because the ugly one can't cut her losses and settle. I find this interesting because often times the 5 doesn't have a chance with either of us, but some part of her brain refuses to give up on the idea of having the best of the bunch.
