As someone who's in her early 20s, belongs to the STEM field (dominated by men and pickmeishas), I've been very alone this past year. I realized the toxicity most of my female friends came with and how it had affected my relationship with myself, and had to let go of them. Since I've been back home in quarantine, I've been almost exclusively with my family and can't step out due to COVID restrictions. I've a good relationship with my mother and that keeps me sane, but I'm so confused as to how I can meet like-minded women in my age group.
I enjoy my own company but truthfully said, I tend to get a little too obsessed with overthinking when I'm alone and I want to avoid that.
For those who've been in a similar situation, how did y'all find quality and respectable female friends?
