I recently graduated college and got out of LTR. I am focusing on improving myself with some small interest in meeting women. I've been using tinder, bumble etc. I used to talk to woman and wouldn't try getting their phone number and they would eventually just give me their number about a week after we started talking.

Now when I talk, I exchange a good bit of information back and forth one day and after I feel like the basic introductions are over, I am closing and trying to get numbers. The problem I encounter is I am losing the girls when I try to get the number. I believe they are on these apps to validate themselves and are not seriously thinking about meeting up with me unless I was chad.

After asking two different girls for their number they responded with "But I don't even know your name yet". I realize that was a stupid mistake on my part for not disclosing my name yet I feel like if they wanted to meet me based on the previous discussions then the name shouldn't matter correct?

Even though I had really good discussions, I don't know if I am too hasty or if they are just attention seeking. When I was denied, I told them my name and asked again for their number, saying I won't keep talking unless I get their number.

Disclaimer: I plan on approaching woman IRL when I am not living with my parents. ( Hence why I am focusing mainly on improving myself ) Not knowing my name was from OKCUPID. I just added it to my account.
