I'm going to be straight up about this. This video has made me cry. I'm so angry.

This isn't about the police. It's about the man talking to his colleagues about how he's always wanted to do this. He brags and boasts about throwing this frail woman to the ground. About dislocating her shoulder and breaking her wrist. He fistbumps his male colleague.

His female pickme colleague wonders if she wasn't violent enough.

She just wants to go home, and they’re abusing her. That poor woman, I can barely watch the clip, that is so inhumane. Imagine not being able to properly understand what’s going on, not being able to explain or ask or communicate, all while being abused and hurt... I can’t imagine what that must’ve been like, how scared she must’ve been, her pain...

They treat her as if they’ve made their mind up that she’s a bad person with bad motives. I don’t care if she stole and seemed aloof and disregarded their orders, that’s no excuse to manhandle and hurt someone. Even if she intended to steal, is that really a reason for them to hurt her? Thieves deserve to be punished by the police without a proper investigation first?

But she literally tried to pay for her items, and then she tried to go home. She tried to do the right thing, and they’re abusing her for it. There’s no humanity in sight in that clip...

If this was my family member I think would personally go after those officers , idgaf I would make them suffer. I hope they get fired and publicly shamed.

Edit: I commented before I watched the whole video and I’m even more pissed! I want names!!! And btw the family handled it better than I could have. Kudos to them.

Holy shit wow,

I can’t even begin to say how wrong this shit is.

I currently work as a CNA in a nursing home from time to time, we would NEVER treat our patients with dementia like that.

How is it, that we can properly handle situations with people with dementia without violence but they can’t possibly fathom doing that.

They still deserve respect and they still deserve being treated with dignity. This is horrible to see.
