TL;DR I saw a thread about shit-tests last night, but I didn't think all the same techniques I used with actual girlfriends would apply to a FWB situation nor did I imagine a FWB would bring along the same jealousy shit-tests a girlfriend presents.

Pardon the length: It's not a serious relationship, i'm just OCD and type a lot.

A friend of friend texts me a few weeks after her break up about 2 weeks ago. She's eager to meet me/hook up from the first text but she lives 30-45 minutes away from me. We start texting making plans to meet, turns to calling, we hit it off nicely and she sends me nudes and acts like a good girl... and best of all she has a full time job which is a godsend for not wasting my time (I'm 22, she's 20). So I think, nice, I got a cool little stoner chick to hang out and bang and I didn't even have to do any game.

Unfortunately, what I thought we both saw as strictly a FWB situation gets confused, when she started ambushing our mainly fun/flirty/sexual laidback conversations with random acts of mushiness. She's not exactly telling me she loves me or anything, just saying she likes me and I make her feel weird... in a good way... and wants to cuddle, that kind of crap... so I foolishly reciprocated to save myself some awkward moments in otherwise good conversations. This girl is VERY direct so she wouldn't let me delay or deflect the question of whether I liked her or just liked her, so I foolishly told her I do like her. But I never want to get serious with this girl.

And with this the shit-tests began. Mainly grandiose stories of self-flattery and men's desire for her. They started as tolerable little anecdotes I could poke fun at at first, but then they became just really boring stories about her and her guy 'best friend' and how he's so cool and blah, blah, with absolutely no potential as good conversation, just very clearly an attempt to get a reaction.

They're long, boring, and annoying to listen to and I'm kinda held hostage because I DO enjoy a good story, but I don't find out until the end that it was a shit-test and I'm not sure how to respond without coming off as if it's bothering me which would further exasperate the idea that she has some control and I'm romantically interested and while my current disinterested uhuh's... yawning, and silence to let the conversation die works, I feel it might be a little too passive. Plus, it wastes my time to wait for her to get the picture.

With my last girlfriend who pulled the same grandiose stories about how she met x guy at y party and he hit on/complimented/whatever her and how attractive he is, it got so repetitive my normal response was a sarcastic "Oh yeah ...very interesting... he sounds super cool, why didn't you fuck him?" which worked great, always got her super flustered and it was so direct, it was hilarious to me. Plus, it reminded her I neither wanted to hear her dumb stories and I wasn't threatened. Of course, there is a wrong way to use that line, and it can sound bitter rather than cocky/funny or whatever and since this girl is nothing more than a FWB to me, I feel it'd come off a little strong...

So, do I continue the disinterested silence or is there a better way?
