We've been in friendly contact over text, but haven't seen each other in a year.

I texted her saying I want to see her again. She wants to see me too, but said it would have to be platonic since she is dating someone new. I told her I still think of us more than that, but that did not deter her from wanting to meet up.

Bad move? Should I have shut it down when she said things should be platonic? Or did I keep the door open by saying I see things as more than just platonic?
