Hi r/relationships, I have been married to my husband for 10 years and have had a great career for 15 years. Everyone appreciates the work that I do including our friends, family, and community. I met my husband at our work and things started out great but are kind of boring now. Everything is routine and I don't feel the spark anymore. He is verbally abusive to me (he says I act like a teenager sometimes) and controls who I go out with and when. Sometimes he makes fun of me for the clothes I wear and how I do my makeup.

While on the job I met this new guy. We started hanging out at his house and one thing lead to another. He is exciting and lots of fun to be around. He does deal drugs sometimes but I always feel safe around him. He would never hurt me and makes me feel special. I feel a spark for the first time in my life. But if my boss finds out I am with this guy I will be fired because it is against our very strict workplace rules.

So here is my dilemma...Do I stay with my great career and married to my abusive husband or quit my job and stay with this guy that loves me for me?

I would think female law enforcement officers would run this type of risk quite a bit. Their work environment attracts a lot of aspiring Alpha males and a few true Alpha males, so that accounts for the regularity of sexual relationships within the field. But female enforcement officers, to survive this environment, are going to manifest a lot of Alpha traits themselves. Who out-alphas a cop? Answer: high-status criminals.

Guys, I cannot stress this enough. This is a big fucking red flag... if your fiancee comes up with this shit, ditch her. She's not looking for a family... she's keeping her options open.

I don't think meta is the correct flair. Meta would have to do with forum rules, reddit community, etc.

I would probably file this under off topic or possibly red pill example, though we can only guess that mr. drug dealer was acting in that way. Though he almost certainly was.
