Title says it all. She is leaning towards abortion, I understand why she is, but I'm not.

I'm 33 she's 26. My career is going well, 80k/yr and own my home, family support, etc. Financially I have no concerns, it would be fine.

She's about to graduate from professional school so this would seriously fuck up her career transition, which I completely understand. That is the major issue from her end. She's also religious and I'm not, so while not being anti-abortion she would struggle morally with it. I wouldn't.

The reasons I'm leaning towards a kid are simple. I want kids. I'm 33. She's attractive and has her shit together. I've seen her with children and she would be a great mother. I could see a future with that.

The reasons against are simple. It would, at best, delay her career. We've only been dating 6 months. If I(we) want kids in the future we could do that at any point, no reason to have to do it now. And the kicker, I think it would probably nuke our relationship to go through with an abortion. I know thats a terrible reason to have the kid, but the stats bear it out. Abortions tend to end relationships. I want this to continue.

I've told her I would support either decision, which I would. I'm not sure why but I'm leaning towards the kid. I also acknowledge as a man, my input is(might be) important to her, but its going to come down to what she wants to do.

Any advice would be appreciated. And yes, I know how children are made so I don't need the wrap it up lectures.
