It's so easy to get so caught up in the other person or in a relationship that one lose one's own identity.

Some of the happiest couples I know have rich lives separate from each other. They don't live in each other's pockets; they continue to be their own person. A couple of them even live in different countries to their husbands so that they can persue their passions and careers, now their children are grown, and the men they are married to support them completely.
