Not for anything more than friendship. Let me explain.
I’m going through a terrible divorce with a narcissist, there are children involved. Lately it’s been hard for me to cope. I had a really terrible day last weekend where I got so low I was contemplating suicide. I begged for someone in my family to come get my children so they would be safe. I know it’s dark, and I’m ok now and not alone. But at the time I was really scared. My parents, who lived 2 hours away immediately left to come get me. Nobody else was in town, but my sister’s boyfriend sent his best friend to just come check on me.
To me the fact that he was even willing to do that makes him high value. And my sister’s boyfriend has shown himself to be high value over a long period of time, so I would hope that this man is also high value since they associate with each other so much.
I should add that I’m currently not dating or looking, so I’m not considering this man as a potential love interest, but as a friend. I just have a very low opinion of men these days and I like to see good ones in the world.
But this man just showed up, having never met me, let me cry my heart out, told me about how he had felt that way sometimes too, and offered me hope in the form of a job. He texted his boss right in front of me and followed up with me today, I have an interview this week! And he’s offering to train me. I’m so excited because now I have hope and I feel like I have a new friend.
I don’t think he did any of those things because he wanted me but because it was what a good person would do. He stayed with me for hours until my parents showed up and even after that talking to them for a while.
Does this seem like HV behavior to you ladies?
