I keep harping about this and you smart women of FDS already understand but EVERY WOMAN on this planet needs to understand this. You can't save him, you can't change him. Save yourself before it's too late!

I know "love hormones" become addictive. I know past trauma causes you to end up in an OCD-like loop where you can't relax until you get crumbs of validation from him, and those crumbs only last so long and you keep chasing his ass for more crumbs and putting up with all sorts of abuse for even the hope of a chance at more crumbs. I know it's hard. No one chooses to fall in live with a sick piece of shit like this. It really is some kind of addiction. But you have to face the truth and save yourself.

Just commenting for people who have no domestic violence experience but it’s not always “love hormones” that keeps you with an abuser. I had absolute distain for my abuser, but forces beyond my control kept us together, and fear plus financial dependency was a big part of it. Not to mention if he kills her when he stays with him imagine what he’d done to her if he caught her running away. Yeah, it’s not easy to leave that situation.
