First off, I just want to preface this post by saying I am new, and very grateful to this sub for what it has done for my self-esteem. As such, I'd like to contribute to TRP in any way I can. Now then, onto the actual post.

Now ideally in any given social context, it's best to not sweat the small stuff, to keep your frame strong and stable, and to not get hung up on what a girl does or what a friend says that might bother you. However, if you're someone like me who is used to being overly analytical, this can be easier said than done. As you strive towards that "not giving a fuck" mindset, it can be difficult to completely abandon that old tendency, as old habits die hard.

My goal one day is to reach that mindset, but in the meantime, I've found it personally beneficial to use my analyzing to my benefit by coming to beneficial conclusions. What I mean by this is to avoid conclusions that assume the worst and are self-deprecating. If someone responds in a way that is unreceptive or cold, instead of placing the blame on yourself, consider that maybe this person is having a shitty day, or perhaps is shy around you. If you feel you absolutely must assume the worst, then look at it through a lens of detachment rather than concern. How can I learn from this in order to better myself? Do I really care if this one person doesn't like me? As long as the worst conclusions aren't in the foreground of your mind, gradually you'll begin to see an improvement on how you handle the relationships in your life. Keep in mind, however, that this strategy is merely a baby step, and that ultimately, you should strive towards keeping it cool.

Anyway, that's everything I've got. Hope it helps you on your journey of self-improvement.
