Yesterday in my clinic, I noticed something while listening to the radio (which was playing just for clients in the background). A "light" music station was playing and two songs came on, within 10 min of each other, both by pink, one was generally about a guy being in love with her while she states she is too wild for him and doesn't want him. After that, the next pink song was "true love" and it infuriates me how the media (as supported by the recent post on MTVs girl code) manipulates words and delivers the message they want to to young, impressionable female (and male) minds and it further perpetuates the issues that come with feminism and the problems that exist today...maybe it's wise to just cut the cable tv and the internet, but I feel it will be utterly impossible to prevent the spread of ideas that can potentially damage people due to the human ability to observe and analyze other peoples behaviors. We would have to essentially isolate people one by one and teach them, which is unfeasible and highly immoral... What a predicament were in right now
