Question for MGTOW

It would be very stupid for someone to think that there are zero, nada, zéro happy, fulfilling relationships. Its just that most of us thought that we were in one until it wasn't and in the aftermath you get all these 'truth' bombs hurled to you.

All those very small gestures, the way she made eye contact, the miniscule things she said but explained a whole lot, they are so small that most men, including me, only realize how stupid we were until the counterpart, in this case women, sometimes reveal how they really think.

Not all lions will bite you, not all diseases will kill you. You just have to be cautious and develop a strong mind and body before going into the wild. Going into the wild is optional, you shouldn't be forced to have a relationship with anyone, its just that most of us will never be fulfilled until we try it out first. And if we succeed, nice! If we don't, then atleast we can say we tried.

What's your answer to all the men who are miserable, have been divorce raped, haven't seen their kids in a decade? I've seen lots of them. Do you feel like toxic relationships don't exist? Can women ever take personal responsibility?

Those couples are putting on a show and facade. They put on big fake smiles around you to appear normal and happy. When they're alone, that's when the manipualtion, yelling, arguing and strife is let loose. Don't be fooled by appearances, married people are miserable and most are all staying together for one of two reasons: the kids, or divorce is too expensive and they don't want a lesser standard of living.

Awesome! Happy for them.

I'm usually in a relationship and still MGTOW. MGTOW is about not being in a financial/legal entanglement with women.

It doesn't mean you can't be in a relationship with a woman. Just don't marry her, or live with her, or have children with her, and you're golden.

MGTOW2 isn't about shunning or hating women. It's about not being enslaved to anyone (male or female!) financially, legally, or emotionally.

I only broke up w my most recent gf a few weeks ago. Before that we dated for 3 years. And I was MGTOW the whole time. The break-up was easy, friendly, and not a problem since we weren't legally or financially tied to each other.

I have been on a few dates with a new woman, and she seems cool. BUT she def wants to have a serious relationship that involves children. So we probably won't work out long term, since I'm not going down that route. (I already have an adult son and don't plan on having more children.)

Some men will be happier being married than being MGTOW. No doubt about it. The question is: how lucky are you?

I compare it to playing the lottery. If you look at the odds, it's not worth it. But some people do win the lottery.

MGTOW is making rational and common-sense decisions based on red-pilled knowledge, taking into account your needs and hopes.

My decision to not marry is a cost/benefit analysis:

The potential costs are catastrophic. No need to list those here.
The potential benefits are great. No need to list those either.
My needs and hopes.

The calculation is that there is a 50% chance that you will pay the potential costs and not get the potential benefits. In the marriages that don't fail, many men still don't get the potential benefits. They have issues that make them regret their choice. See r/deadbedrooms for many examples.

The determining factor is: what are my needs and hopes in that direction? Up until my 30s, I just assumed I'd get married. I didn't question whether I wanted to or not, I just assumed I would. I almost fell into it a couple of times, but thank God I didn't.

Once I was in my 30s, I realised I was happy not being married. My needs and hopes didn't particularly include marriage or kids. I became 'MGTOW' 30 years ago, and, now in my 60s, I have not regretted my choice.

Is it possible I could have been happier being married with kids? Sure. But life is about making choices. All I can do is look at the evidence and make my choices based on that.

So yes, some men will be happier being married than being MGTOW. As long as they are aware of the risks (and how often do you hear about the risks when people encourage you to marry?) and it matches their needs and hopes, they are doing the right thing for themselves. And fair enough, too. Marriage isn't for me, but it might be for others. And I wish them success.

When you say youve experienced them, what do you mean by that? Do you mean youve personally been in such relationships and those relationships have since ended? Or do you mean youve only seen other men in those relationships (in which case you really dont know what happens in that relationship when they couple are homealone)?

Money. Maybe relationships aren't healthy after all... Certainly not for the wallet !
