Once you take the red pill most people are pathetic. It's all about making money and blowing it on pussy. I know guys that blow 500.00 a month chasing tale. But for the grace of God and MGTOW I could be one of them. I would rather save that money up and go on a month long, sex and drug fueled vacation in Holland. That will be a good memory. Not with some old bag off the internet with 3 kids, a worn out hooch and a bunch of guys sniffing around her (my competition) Lol!

Yep. Don't fall for the Sunk Cost fallacy, folks and cut the toxic people off as needed. Recently, I've cut off couple of SJWs who just can't shut up about their political fetishes while truly believing that anyone who's is not sharing their views in any way is the enemy.

They say that a mans value is midle value of a 6 persons that he spends with the most of his time. Chose those 6 carefully. It's not just friends, most of the time it's your coworkers that you spend with most of the time. Or family.

Cuting of a bad influence is a good thing. If you find a (much) higher value in your self than in the people around you - cut then of. They'll only drag you down and profit from it. It's like when you put a spoon of chocolate in the bowl of mud and than mix it. The mud gets somewhat sweeter, put chocolate gets... well, I don't know how the mud tastes, but you get the point.

I would advise not to slam any doors behind you, if posible and stay in contact with people that you know. You never know when you gonna need them

Can totally relate. I've cut off a lot of guy friends from my life who I don't share anything in common with anymore and who drag me down.

It's a tricky thing to do though, especially with guys I've known for a long time and who used to be my "bros". I've found that if I cut contact "abruptly" - i.e. by ghosting or not giving any news - it makes people come back to you even more! Like there's this friend group I used to be friends with and when I stopped giving news to them, they started chasing me more actively trying to find out if something happened to me! My strategy now is to "let the friendships die". I basically behave like a jerk without ghosting them - I reply to messages after 5 days and find some lame-ass excuse to say I can't come when they organise get-togethers etc...

One of my good chums is married waiting on his 3rd kid. Not a dime saved. His wife doesn't like me cause "I don't get what it's like" to have a family.

If you’re not in relationships you’re not constantly being asked to go out and socialize. So friendships seem to die out over time because you’re not actively pursuing them.

Only allow people into your life that support you and help you to be better. Avoid people that get you off your purpose.

I completely understand what you are saying. Over the years, the number of people in my circle have shrunk, but those that are left are good.

Learn to compartmentalize the people you have in your life.

- Have people that you enjoy socializing with.

- Have people that you enjoy doing interests or hobbies with.

- Have friends or colleagues that help you level up.

We only have so much time in a month, year or life. When you dump people, you make room for new, potentially better, people or just sweet, sweet solitude and peace. You don't know if your new friends will be any better, but you will never meet an awesome new friend if you're still spending your valuable time around users, abusers, & losers.

One aspect of a good relationship is someone who understands boundaries. Someone who doesn't always tries to impose their views on you and makes you feel guilty, even when you're doing something neither morally wrong or illegal. That's why I have to put distance between my family. They don't understand boundaries.

I am cautious of the phrase, "Don't burn bridges because you might need them in the future." It can sometimes lead to you keeping around bad influences out of fear. This is my case. I've had bad influence from my family. But I kept them around out of fear that I'll need them. This fear affected my self-esteem and ultimately is the source of repeated failure in my past. Therefore, if the person is bad influence, it's better to distance yourself or burn the bridge entirely. Rather than be affected by a bad influence.

When I started my business 2 years ago, I decided to just focus on the business and while I see my close friends once in a while, most of the distractions have to be removed if you want to achieve anything notable with the 1 life you have been given.

Cutting certain people off, especially the negative ones in your life is like getting rid of a cancer. Focus on you, not some toxic ball and chain "friends" or family that like to see you wallow in the gutter with them. When you make it up that hill to the deluxe apartment in the sky give them a ring, the jealousy they spout off is truly delicious!!

I haven't been cutting people off so much as they've just been avoiding me because I hold them accountable. I'm VERY brutal with my friends and the ones I have now are the type I would die for cuz I know they'd do the same for me.

I'd rather keep a few of them around than a bunch of pathetic crumbs acting like they're the whole loaf.
