I don't think I'm quite a MGHOW yet, but I'm increasingly considering becoming one and fully embracing the MGTOW lifestyle in hopes of finding peace. Why? My reason is simple: I, a straight 27yr-old Caucasian male, have forever been refusing to initiate sexual escalation via touch, a. k. a. kino escalation. No matter what I read and who I listened to, kino escalation has been described as the key difference between the ultimate success and failure at the dating game... and it's not that I don't believe it, I just find it unjust that such a responsibility (or "responsibility") always falls upon men, and even after 5 years in CBT psychotherapy, it's the one thing that hasn't changed. I can do everything else to an extent. I can flirt, I can drop hints, but I will NEVER. EVER. TOUCH. FIRST. Or at least I won't go beyond a relatively harmless subtle hand-to-hand touch initiation. The only times I even dared to open up were the times a girl would initiate escalation, and even then I'd have anxieties that would need to subside. Of course, waiting for the next criminally extroverted girl to grant me some easy practice like that (even though I aim for stable long-term relationships and not hookups) could take forever, and the few that have been so forthcoming all had serious mental health problems (BPD, bipolar disorder, Stockholm syndrome).

I'M NOT REALLY LOOKING FOR ADVICE ON SEDUCTION. Seems that even if I want to change, I don't want to change, and I won't budge AT ALL. I just outright REFUSE TO RISK being emotionally vulnerable when faced with even the slightest chance of coming up completely empty, and nothing has even made a dent in my resistance all these years. That's why I came here... I can't even break my own cowardly will, so maybe there's some better way I could look at it?

I understand that there could be a slew of possible problems based on various (yet undisclosed) biographic details about me, but I'm looking for a principled answer outside of those considerations, because sometimes I feel like my thoughts on this subject exist only to mercilessly claw at my sanity and expose my fear of change and mortality with no result other than more anxiety. I need to make a stand and decide upon a course in life that won't just change depending on how I feel at the moment. Having said that, thank you in advance for your help.
