My female neighbour is very friendly and we sometimes stop for a chat when we see each other on the street.

She's invited me into her flat a couple of times. Each time I've said no.

She's a nice person and I wouldn't mind being friends with her. However, I'm worried that if I go into her flat it could send the wrong signals.

Background:

I was married for well over a decade. During that time I did not have friendships with other girls. Since separating from my ex-wife I have lived as a MGTOW monk and have stayed away from women.

I'm not sure how to interact with women anymore, other than say exchanging friendly banter with a female shop assistant.

I've heard so many horror stories, both online and in real life about how men have had their lives destroyed from even a casual relationship with a woman.

This has led me to keep my distance from all women.

I'm not sure if I'm being paranoid.
