So I am recently retired from 23 years of service in the U.S. Army, spending the last three years serving apart from my wife and kids. At the beginning of my "geo-bachelor" period she was in the throes of am emotional affair with an old high school friend she reconnected with on Facebook. The minute we moved her back home it became physical (unbeknownst to me) and we teetered on the edge of divorce.

She ended up coming clean with me, and after some time we recommitted to our marriage and family.

Now he reconciliation process was not easy, and there were plenty of fights along the way, but I had thought we had made it through the worst of it.

I finally separate from the service and come home and her behaviors are suspiciously the same as they had been before when her previous affair was emotional, so I dig through her Facebook account and find out she is having an emotional affair with her married boss.

I confront her about it and she admits it, but has continued for months to shut me out of any kind of emotional connection because she "cant stand to be touched by someone who she can't trust or feels unsafe with emotionally".

Last night (after two weeks of leaving her be with serious relationship talk) I bring up where are we going with out marriage and when are we going to actually do something to try and save it. Things got heated as usual, and for the first time in my life, she slapped me.

I do not know if i want to keep trying to save my marriage, even for the sake of my kids. But I just moved home (not my home, my wife is from here, I am not so I know nobody that I haven't met through her), I start a new job next week and we are so mired in debt from three years of paying for two households that I don't know what to do at this point.

I guess I am seeking advice on how to handle this. I never wanted to leave her or my family, but I am at my wits end, I am unhappy, lonely and depressed with my situation.
