Probably separating soon.
Wife hopes to get a job in a different city, 2 hours away. after divorce is final, she has in mind for her to have the kids (7, 9) during the weekdays and I'll have them on the weekends and holidays and longer times in the summer.
To me, going 5 days without seeing them is really harsh. I'm going to miss out on so much of that daily detail that bonds us together. Not to mention those weekday activities outside of school.
I asked her to wait until we could make sure I could get a job in the other city, which may take a while, and may not even work out due to my field in the tech industry. But it doesn't look like she'll wait.
So does that time arrangement seem reasonable to you guys for a 50/50 split?
This is all just new to me. I figured we'd get divorced one day, but I think it's a despicable thing to leave the city with the kids, and move far enough away to make frequent interactions difficult.
