*programming (gamedev, web dev, learning how to be a full stack web dev rn) *creative stuff (concept art in PS, 3D in Blender, vector with Illustrator, sometimes I mess around with real clay) *personal improvement (read tons psychology, nutrition, etc to the scientific core) *cooking/diet *been going to gym, joined 4 days ago and been going everyday

Thought I stumbled across a problem in which I have more free time than I used to since I finally ended my video game addiction and been clean for 27 days.

I would love to know if you guys know any good hobbies for a 18yo hs guy like me.

Hunting, shooting, gun collecting, hiking, backpacking, fishing, caving, rafting, model building, reading fiction, studying history, visiting historic places.

I used to be into traditional martial arts (no tournaments or competition, just ass kicking and philosophy).

I want to add boating to the list, but $$$.

I think I'm gonna switch gyms and add yoga or something to the list. My favorites don't attract a lot of women!

Motorcycling... #1 by far.

Art photography, going to museums. Guitar- (abysmal to the point I don't leave it out where visitors can see it... yet. Because I'm not ready to play a few songs quite yet) Reading Quad Copters Backpacking/hiking/camping Bicycling Lifting, not sure that qualifies as a hobby. I don't love to lift, but I sure like the benefits.

Trying to get the time to learn dancing, work schedule makes classes challenging. To pick up girls? A little I suppose, but having a few drinks and getting out on the dance floor can be a lot of fun.

And... Fucking plates, that's a nice hobby.

Hobbies should be about what interests you. When a guy picks hobbies based on what girls might find attractive he's not getting it. I've never found a girl turned off by my taking photos of flowers, or not giving a shit about sports at all. Because I'm me, I do my shit, and I don't care what others think about it.

Edit: forgot about guns and shooting.

I was organizing a backpacking group for about a year, but I mostly do solo trips now. Usually 12 miles a day, single nights, but I make it a point to do a few longer trips every year, one in the spring and one in fall.

I lift weights three times a week, and squeeze in HIIT running twice a week. Diet goes into this as well.

I cook. I got started by following a few cooking shows, and it went from there. Fun stuff, and healthy too.

I've been playing the ukulele for several years.
