One of things my ex said frustrated her about our relationship was that she never felt I was secured in the relationship. There were many reasons I may have felt that way. One of which is this:

About 5 months into our relationship, we had a casual birthday party for her where she introduced me to Gabe. She later tells me she used to date Gabe before we met, it didn’t go anywhere and thought he was gay but apparently he has a huge crush on her. A few weeks after the party, she tells me she’s going to meet him at his new apartment to celebrate it, bringing wine for the occasion. While she was there for a few hours, I didn’t hear from her.

When she came home, I told her it made me uncomfortable. She replied basically that nothing happened and I shouldn’t be so insecure. After we broke up, I came across a text (we shared a laptop) she had sent to Gabe the night of the apartment that was a joke along the lines of ‘whew, I made it home before the little guy exploded’.

So let me ask you all this, is that a shitty thing to do or am I way old school?
