If a woman can then a father can. Can any of you think what it would be like to have this for a mother?
[–]hih_h 8 points9 points10 points (1 child) | Copy Link
My mom is a narc mother so yeah, she always says my dad is responsible for his kids. As if she didn't conceive us or anything. Also her whole family is narcs and are very rich. She stole everything from my father too. That's what probably the child will endure too. I wonder how a mother couldn't give an F for her own child.. huh.

That why we have abortion in this country. Women don't give a shit about their kids.

TLDR:, "blah blah blah don't do to me what I 100% would have done to you the the roles were reversed"-equality
The saddest part is the courts would very likely support this deadbeat mother. But you know what? Dad here is the MAN. He should raise that child, with his doting and loving partner he's bound to find, and tell her he doesn't need her or her money in his baby's life.

What? Lol, she's trying to figure out a way to make it so the father can have the kid he wants. Whether or not he tells her he "doesn't need her or her money in his baby's life" the courts can still go after her for child support if he ever applies for any sort of benefits
[–]power_forward87 12 points13 points14 points (1 child) | Copy Link
No, she's very clearly trying to escape responsibility to the child without recourse. Also, she said that the only reason she's birthing the child is if he doesn't come after her, and giving up her parental rights. If he said he would still go after support, she'd terminate...

Right... Dad wants kid, mom doesn't. Mom's still willing to go through pregnancy and all that for dad as long as she's not having to ba a part of kids life. She's trying to do him a favor lol.
And it doesn't matter if he says she doesn't need to pay support, it's the govt that will go after her for money if he ever files for benefits

honestly? you’re reaching with this. If you dont want a kid you shouldn’t have to pay child support.
[–]ZephyrTurtle14_ 2 points3 points4 points (1 child) | Copy Link
I agree mostly, I don't see much wrong with the post. But I believe if you conceived the child through consensual intercourse, you should be responsible for the consequence, and should provide for that child, at least until it gets adopted by the person who actually wants the child and their new partner in a financially stable household.

I sympathize, but don’t wholeheartedly agree.I have a cousin who has had three children just for government payments. If she wouldn’t lose custody (on paper anyway because she didn’t really raise any of them) I have no doubt in my mind she would have gone after said father’s for child support. Children are a natural consequence of sex, I myself would support said kid but I would also want to be involved. If it is purely a mother’s decision to carry a child to term, no man should have to pay child support. If a woman is carrying a child to term at the behest of the father she shouldn’t have to pay child support.

Not to mention the mods locked the post. What a bunch of cowards.
[–]ZephyrTurtle14_ 7 points8 points9 points (3 children) | Copy Link
What exactly is wrong with it?
[–]CannyToon 0 points1 point2 points (1 child) | Copy Link
I don't get it either. It's exactly what so many people in this sub is fighting for. A way to sign away your parental rights and obligations, such as paying child support. It's a way for trapped fathers to escape, and a way for fathers to have a child even if the woman doesn't want to help raise it (assuming she'd be fine with giving birth to it and carrying it for 9 months)
[–]ZephyrTurtle14_ 0 points1 point2 points (0 children) | Copy Link
The only think I can think of is that she's not likely to get out of paying child support, unless the child gets adopted by the father and his new partner.

What's the list of things wrong with it. The only thing I see is the age of the man that is doing this.
[–]Aspiengineer 7 points8 points9 points (0 children) | Copy Link
Seems to me like an argument for "paper abortions", they woul benefit women and unborn children too.

There's nothing wrong with asking those questions, hell men ask those plenty of times. The answers might be a bit sus though.
Doesn't California have those drop-off centres where you can leave a baby legally and have no follow up? If she left the baby at one of those, then contacted the father to tell him where so he could go claim it with a DNA test, wouldn't that offer her legal protection against further claims?
Remember, there are two people here, she doesn't want any further ties to this kid, but the father does want his kid, so we need to accomodate her wishes to get him what he wants.
[–]Ok_Plankton248479 1 point2 points3 points (0 children) | Copy Link
No, the drop off centers are so they can sell the baby to the highest profit center. The father is cut out. In this case, she would continue the pregnancy for him only. But that's not allowed.

Yes! Have the baby and tell a family judge you how you feel!

There is nothing wrong with it. The demand of that woman are ones that should be available to everyone.
I would like to be able to give away parental responsibility if the woman wants to keep it. And same thing for if the man wants to keep it.
I actually respect the girl in the post because of her seeing if there is a way to grant this man's wish without having to resort to abortion for herself.

Just going to throw this out there. OP sounds like an absolute dirt bag.
