How would you feel if a woman you’ve been in a relationship, is pregnant but does not give you the child’s last name and put you on the birth certificate?

Massive red flag. 1st thing I'd want is a DNA test. What is she afraid of by putting my name on the certificate? Evidence she lied to you is my guess. She puts your name on the certificate and you find out the child is not yours, you have grounds to walk away without paying a penny. If you continue down this road it is entirely possible you get stuck paying for someone else's kid even after you find out she lied about it.

I would feel relieved. I'm not being told this child is mine, and since it's also evidence of her having sex with someone else I am free to divorce her with no child support and find someone who will be faithful to me. No matter how much it hurts.

I would assume it's not mine and act accordingly. I'm not just saying shit either, I had my daughter dna tested as soon as she was born. I had no reason to suspect she was not mine but I sleep well at night knowing for a fact she is mine.

What do you mean she didn't give you the child's last name? You don't know what the child's last name is? Then how do you know what's on the birth certificate? And also, women can't just name random people as the father. There's a process for that.

You need to get a DNA test now and not later. There is a time limit to this and if you wait too long you can be held accountable for child support even if the child is not yours.

I don't waste time with short term relationships. I wouldn't marry a girl who didn't want to take my name (with FEW excuses as possible exceptions). Don't reproduce in temporary relationships.

I would feel lied to. First of all, she has no legal right to take my last name away from the child, that is something that must be agreed upon by both parents. Second of all, the only reason is if she became pregnant by somebody else.

Get a dna test regardless,don't be a sucker and suck it up only to find out 10-18 years later that the child was never yours to begin with. It will ruin you and everything you knew as the truth from those past years will basicly shatter.

Another red flag is she refused to put your name on it,so did she have the child with someone else to get his dna or did she get knocked up and did she put up your name as the provider/father that's gonna provide. Either way,you need to some serious digging before you go forward,don't leave a single stone unturned.
