Of course everyone who is feminist influenced (which is everyone) will try to say this is "just a technicality", but exactly what was the "technicality"?

It's because the prosecutor shafted him. The prosecutor is a politically motivated crook (and feminist) who wanted a scalp for #MeToo. They deliberately brought a prosecution they knew was illegal and cheated during the trial process to force a conviction. Cosby was not found guilty on the basis of the facts of the case. And the supreme court of Pennsylvania basically admitted this and therefore had to free him, an innocent man.

The original prosecutor of the case back in 2005 stated there was not evidence to prove a case against Cosby. That means he thought Cosby was innocent. And that guy really wanted to prosecute. No new evidence arrived in the intervening years. The new prosecutor was simply more corrupt. More willing to say who gives a shit about the law, I want to have a scalp!

Now if you or anyone else want to think -- in contradiction to the evidence and the outcome of the case -- that Cosby was guilty then you have to contend with the fact that the evidence was not there, and is not there. You may have an irrational gut feeling about it but that's all it is. Irrational prejudice. Because if there was evidence enough to convict he would have been brought to trial in 2005. The main difference in circumstances was the #MeToo movement atmosphere of witch hunt and the need for scalps. Plenty of people were told by the media that Cosby was guilty ahead of any trial, but the evidence was never there. In his years in jail plenty more people have said he was guilty-- on the basis of a corrupt guilty result which was just overturned.

This happens again and again and again with high profile men accused by women --- it happens commonly.

Do you think judges just let men out of jail for no reason? It's rare they do this even when the witnesses come forward and say they lied. It can take decades to reverse a case. That it "only" took Cosby 3 years is likely due to his wealth -- if he has any wealth left now. Obviously the plot against him --- and that's what it was --- has succeeded in ruining him financially as well as making him a rapist in the minds of so many, sadly even among those who as MRA ought to know better.

Perhaps it would be as well to have a few articles posted reminding people of some of the other men falsely found guilty by feminist prosecutors hunting for a scalp?

This happens all the time.

How do you figure the prosecutor was a feminist? Do you even know who the prosecutor was? This seems like a desperate reach to complain about feminism. Feminism does enough wrong. You don't need to concoct things and blame feminism for it.

Dude raped a girl. I'd try to put him in jail too if I had the chance. Doesn't make me a feminist.

[–]DavidByron2 -1 points0 points1 point 5 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

Because he made going after Cosby a part of his re-election campaign.

You don't remember any of this stuff?

[–]ThisIsTheEnd6 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

Do only feminists want rapists in jail? Or is there another reason you think they are a feminist?

[–]DavidByron2 -1 points0 points1 point 5 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

Do you mean to ask

"do only feminists want innocent men framed for rape?"

[–]ThisIsTheEnd6 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

I get it. Feminists tricked him into admitting he did it and explaining in detail how he did it.

Lol.

[–]DavidByron2 -1 points0 points1 point 5 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

He didn't admit it. Why are you repeating that horseshit?

So you think buying a woman a drink is raping her too?

He said he got some shit to party. It's the same thing. Men were expected to have the shit to party with just the same as it's always been.

[–]ThisIsTheEnd6 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Right. He got a prescription for qualudes with the intent to give them to young women to have sex with them...and countless young women came forward saying they were drugged.

And it's a coincidence.

Wow. You're really adamant about defending an admitted rapist. That's....weird.

[–]DavidByron2 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Seriously are you mentally deficient or did you not even read your own (short) linked article? Or do you really think that sharing drugs with someone means you've raped them? Your behavior here is dumb as fuck and I'm genuinely curious what your "thought process" here was?

Did you know this was a shit argument and just hoped I'd let it fly?

Is English your third or fourth language and you don't even know who Cosby is?

Please explain the process whereby you cam to make such a dumb statement. I would genuinely love to know where your head was at.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

He wasn't made a rapist in the eyes of anyone. He admitted to drugging a woman with 3 benadryl and telling her it was a herbal supplement before raping her.

[–]DavidByron2 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

False.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

I guess it's your word against mine then.

[–]DavidByron2 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

I'm pretty happy with that, I can't imagine anyone would take you more seriously.

I remember the case. But it's not exactly hard to check, is it?

Some fucking idiot just posted a link saying it proved him right, and of course, it proved me right.

10/10 for conviction, 0/10 for accuracy.

Also 0/10 for checking their sources.

The supreme court (of Pennsylvania) is the single source saying Cosby is innocent.

[–]Clemicus 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

No, lack of evidence doesn't mean innocent and you missed out a key point. Sealed documents from a previous court cases were used. One which the complainant received a settlement. The judge decided to use them in the court case against Cosby

[–]DavidByron2 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

No, lack of evidence doesn't mean innocent

Yeah the supreme court's judges banging the hammer and saying you're innocent does though.

[–]Clemicus 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah lol

[–]Panderjit_SinghVV 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

As I recall the only evidence was that Cosby shared recreational drugs with people he went on to have sex with.

Feminists may have managed to redefine that as rape in the minds of some but if it is who among us would be innocent?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Benadryl is not recreational drugs.

[–]DavidByron2 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

well YOU'RE no fun

wait: were we meant to go through that dance where I say it's true and you say it's you're word against mine before the hammer drops again?

[–]Clemicus 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Diphenhydramine 🤷‍♂️

[–]DavidByron2 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Pretty much the equivalent in later decades of saying, (which feminists seriously have said),

"He bought me a drink and then we had sex so he raped me"

At this point I look forward to hearing a feminist argue (if they haven't already) that if a man pays for a woman's half of the meal and then they later have sex he is a rapist -- because she couldn't reasonably consent under the influence of having been paid for.

[–]This-Icarus 7 points8 points9 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

It was not a false accusation though, it was a legal technicality. Cosby is a terrible person

[–]DavidByron2 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Cosby joins the very long list of men falsely prosecuted and falsely found guilty and then in their old age released "on a technicality" of being innocent.

[–]This-Icarus 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I will agree he was falsely sent to prison but it was due to a technicality, not him being innocent.

False claims are terrible but this is not one of them

[–]DavidByron2 -4 points-3 points-2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The technicality is that he's innocent.

It's probably a false claim(s) but it's so long ago we won't really know unless Cosby turns out to have done it and decides to publish a book about it like OJ.

[–]DavidByron2 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Yeah I kinda figured it sounded like Cosby was innocent. Generally true with these high profile cases where the prosecutor only brings the case because of political grandstanding. Of course the legal process only determined he was innocent after he'd served almost the whole term anyway but that is also pretty typical for men convicted of various bogus sexual charges.

For those (many) people here who enjoy throwing men under the bus and assuming guilt be aware that he wasn't released because of a technicality but because he's judged innocent now. There will be no retrial either. The latter is unusual but presumably in recognition that he already falsely suffered for years and that he is very old. Also perhaps because none of the charges against him are within the statutory limits of bringing a new case, though they probably could have claimed the case was initiated within the term.

Just another high profile male attacked by a political prosecutor who wanted a scalp to appeal to the feminists.

[–]Gingerchaun 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

If he was innocent why admit guilt in civil cases?

[–]DavidByron2 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He didn't. You were lied to.

[–]Sasukes_Bum_Child 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

This is a legal rights issue, not a men’s rights issue. He’s a monster.

[–]DavidByron2 -4 points-3 points-2 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

and we know he's a monster because the now overturned trial said he was......

[–]Sasukes_Bum_Child 5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

He admitted to doing it. If you read it, it was overturned on a legal technicality due to a prosecutor lying to him. He couldn’t enact his 5th amendment right. Again, he confessed to drugging and raping his accuser

[–]DavidByron2 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He did not.

The technicality was that he is innocent.

There was no confession.

Although if we indulge your fantasy for a moment you're saying he was falsely induced into agreeing to make a false confession that under duress so that "confession" wouldn't be worth shit. But, no, there was not even a false confession under duress.

[–]Trainalf 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I highly doubt he's actually innocent. He was released on technicalities and procedural issues. That's one of the faults of this justice system, they have to follow procedure and the written rule. Even if it means keeping an innocent person in prison or-in this case-letting a guilty one out.
