Let this be advice for anyone looking to get married (actually, let me first provide the best advice: don't get married)

If you want to be in a stable lifelong relationship you need to maintain or grow your value. You can't get complacent or comfortable. If your value drops, it's a matter of time before a woman's hypergamy kicks in and she offloads you for better merchandise.

If you stay fit and maintain high career/social value, she'll stay at her best for fear of losing you. Worst case scenario you'll be desirable to multiple women in the event that your wife hamsters a way out of your marriage.

I think that women actually want to be reminded. Or validated, perhaps, is the TRP way of describing it. They need the reassurance that yes, indeed, they have landed the white whale and not just a minnow. It's almost an obligation for men in LTR to provide this service. Having multiple decades of married life behind me, I can assure you that your wife will shit test you on this regularly and repeatedly. They don't even know they're doing it.

Just this morning, as I was dressing for work, I told my wife I'd be coming home after lunch. The reason being that I've had my afternoon meetings cancelled so everyone could take off for the holiday. Her immediate response was, "Why? Do you have a thing for the cleaning lady?"

Now, I had no idea the cleaning lady was coming today, as I don't keep track of that sort of thing. My response was equally quick, "Honey, you and I both know I can do way better than her. Hell, I can at least pull a woman who has all her teeth." She giggled and tied my tie.

It still happens all the time, even decades later.

Haha my dad did something kinda like this. He can't work due to disability but would frequently flirt with and chat up younger girls with my mom around. My father is fairly attractive for a man his age and if there was a battle between him and a mountain I'm confident the mountain would pick itself up and move out of the way. Kept my mom loyal and hard working for their entire marriage.

There is nothing like having other women show interest and compliment you when you woman is around.

In the past when we would go out to run errands (grocery store, hardware etc.) I would just put a hat on my head and take off. Now I make sure I look sharp- even if it's just a run to home depot. After a few months of this she finally said something to the effect of "you're just looking good to see what you can get if you dump me". I replied with "you went after me because you found me attractive. Why wouldn't you want to be on the arm of a good looking man".

Keep on letting her see you would not have any trouble getting someone else. And her thinking about you throughout the day makes for some nice 'gina tingles when you get home.

I never understood why my farther would always chat up and tease other women especially with my mum around. They have been together for 24 years and to my knowledge have never had any major problems. My mum keeps herself in very good shape and at 53 could pass as early 30's and runs the entire house. I always just thought it was because my dad found a good woman but it is becoming more and more apparent that he is just red pill.

Looking back on his lessons and advise he did his best to pass it on but I sill got the nice guy disease. Although I suspect it was not that he didn't teach me but that somehow (im guessing school) it was drilled into me that the nice guy was the way to go and I used to think my father didn't know what he was talking about.

We seem to have created a society that promotes children not to trust their father's. I wish I had listened to him all those years ago but luckily I found this sub and Elliott hulse early (21) and can learn to let go of the beta behaviours I have had drilled into me all these years.
